Yeah Ruggs was a killer; he was just starting to open up and play like an all-pro for Gruden and then he had that accident that changed his life….think Gruden have took the team to playoffs that year if he was HC; I know the team still made the playoffs; but it would have been on Gruden watch……I know his draft pick were bad; but he found hidden gems like Darren Waller….the truth is; at least Gruden gave you a football game and the players did play hard for him; and look at Josh Jacob; Gruden drafted the guy for the raiders and he has been the best running back we had in a long time;RenoRaiders75 wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 7:08 am The accident with Ruggs really messed us up, it was a spiral after that.
