Boom.......and the Raiders had a wad of cash that the league mandates they have to spend anyway so it's ok to put a ton of it at the center position other wise we would be paying depth players starter money over the next few days lol

....to be fair, back here in real life, no one was 'pounding the table' for jpj to be our center due to his injury history.

You're absolutely right, I would have been fine with giving our 3rd yr center another shot at the job rather than setting the market & spending $8 million more per year over the #2 guy who is clearly better than him. But this is just how free agency works. Linderbaum isn't a bad player, but it remains to be seen whether he is worth that price. It all comes down to who we field to the left and right of him, and how proficient the offense is with a unit that is paying more for a center than any other team in the league. I think it's a fair criticism, but I'm still excited to see what the final product looks like.

Glaze should probably be a backup guard / tackle. With better coach he is probably a fine reserve.
