Probably doesn’t need its own thread but I thought it would be Brady. Or is that still Brady?

Right got it, but conversations don't always have to be from a single perspective.

There's things in your life you prefer to help with your own fee fee's. It's a given.

You may have a difficult time here convincing anyone you’d be a good judge of who is or isn’t a genius when you don’t know when to capitalize and can’t spell the word “the”.

Perhaps business “side” got mixed up with business “sense” and we ended up with “since”?

i dont need to convince anyone...the facts speak for themselves

al davis got screwed over multiple times on moves LA,OAKLAND got no luxury boxes and lost concessions/parking and never owned anything other then the club

mark moved the team, outmaneuvered sheldon adelson a guy worth 40 billion with a rep of being the biggest shark in nevada, got nevada to build/finance the stadium got ownership and own everything

value of the franchise went from 760 million to 10 billion, id say mark has been a genius vs al on business

ps i dont give a damn about misspelling a word or missing a cap, i don't judge people on such menial things especially not on a raider message board

Seeing the words “Mark” and “Genius” in the same sentence still has me reeling.

Mark does deserve a lot of credit for letting others do their thing and not mucking thing up but that does not equate to genius.

Forbes reported Adelson’s net worth at $29.8 billion shortly before his death. Nevada didn’t build or finance anything, a temporary hotel tax increase was used to raise $750 million so every tourist who rented a room helped to finance the stadium.
Facts
Edit: the hotel tax was initiated byClark County and only affected Clark county, not the state of Nevada.

You also left out a ton of facts, facts that take him back to Dufus level again

Mark did not outmaneuver Adelson. Hell, he did not even find him. that was McCullum. He brought Davis and Adelson together. And Adelson walked on the deal, Mark had nothing to do with that other than not provide a succession plan that Adelson was good with. The deal almost fell through, period. It was Jerry Jones who brought BoA to the table. Without Jones, who was heavily in BoA's pocket, the deal falls away again. And Jones does not do that without Mark agreeing that a ton of the construction contracts were to companies Jones owns. And those concessions? Again, Jones holds a big piece of the pie there as well. And negotiating the contracts and the deal with BoA? Davis was not even at the majority of the meetings. That was his fixer, Badain. Badain was the genius behind the deal with BoA and he was the guy who got it done. I know this to be true. Hell, Badain walked on Davis a few short years later because the guy is toxic as an exec. They had a huge HR scandal inside the walls and a ton of execs, big time execs, walked on that cushy job. The only part that Davis had in this was signing the papers. Davis got lucky repeatedly, not smart.

Oh, and being able to write? Yea, attention to detail is a thing. Look it up.

Oh and again? Davis outmaneuvering Adelson was f[raiders_icon]cking funny as hell.

Facts.
This is also correct. Davis got a 1.2B dollar loan that Badain negotiated not Davis, 500M from the NFL and the rest was a hotel tax.

wow this all kinds of doofus ...badain worked for davis but davis had nothing to do with it, shit i guess badain was so bad ass he made the final decision and signed the contracts too...anyone believing this i got a swamp land for sale...imagine the owner of a football franchise putting everything on the line but having absolutely zero to do with deal "it was all of his employees that did it"

Your post made me think about my journey as a Raiders fan since 1969. I realize that I have compartmentalized my fandom into the period 1969-1986. I keep close to my heart and in my mind, those great years when Al Davis and Ron Wolf were hot and we were so darn successful. It was all good except for having to deal with the Steelers dominant defense. The last 40 years have been a slog, with some light being shined by Bo Jackson and the short Gruden/Gannon era. With a couple of old friends, we still draw up those old good times because what else can you do? We have been patiently waiting and sometimes not so much patient, hoping for a return to consistent winning ways, only to have are hopes dashed every time. This last season was the worst in my 56 years as a fan, I mean cheering for losses?. The new regime might be the ticket. Who the hell knows?
