Or is this still a rebuilding year?

Well, like you said, "good for you".Attyla wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 4:04 am good for you. Everything else is a huge factor and I am not prepared to give a blanket yes to anything.
yep, I am my own person and refuse to be pigeonholed into one way of thinking. If free agency is a success and the rest is a failure, the net is zero. It is like predicting wins and losses right before the draft. I don't do it, and even if I put a number on a season there are always factors that can completely change that number. An effort in futility.
Yup, I said the same thing and I'm not sure why anyone would take exception, but whatever.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 5:04 am I don't know how anyone that watched this team last year could possibly name a bunch of variables that need to happen for this team to be better this year. Last years team was bottom 1 or 2 in franchise history. There's no going down from that, esp when you've made important and competent upgrades.
I just don't think it happens this year. Improvement throught the season from the front office down to the staff and down to the players & play on the field is all Im hoping for and will be happy with. Being on an upward trajectory for next season would be considered a success in my bookToast wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 8:52 pm I am not about to jump on any kind of bandwagon for the upcoming season, there is a lot of work to be done, but this team will compete hard and I have always been more of an optimist than a realist regarding the Raiders [BoKnows81 just shook his head an said no f[raiders_icon]cking shit].
But...I believe this organization is about to turn the corner and I think that is a reasonable perspective.
Idk, I think you're more of a realist than you give yourself credit for lol.Toast wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 8:52 pm I am not about to jump on any kind of bandwagon for the upcoming season, there is a lot of work to be done, but this team will compete hard and I have always been more of an optimist than a realist regarding the Raiders [BoKnows81 just shook his head an said no f[raiders_icon]cking shit].

Pretty much sums up my feelings too...I'm by no means expecting the Raiders making it to the PS but they will certainly be more competitive and much more entertaining.raider_kin wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 6:24 am No more 31-0 losses.
We'll win SOME of the close games we lost last year.
We'll be competitive in close game losses.
We'll see continued improvement throughout the season.
Gonna be fun.
Can't remember the last Raiders season I really enjoyedraidersince63 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 6:35 am Pretty much sums up my feelings too...I'm by no means expecting the Raiders making it to the PS but they will certainly be more competitive and much more entertaining.
we have hope of that happening, now that we get to draft a franchise qb and have a competent gm,hc and staff
My thoughts exactlyMarzan wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 7:29 am We’ll be twice as good so I’m thinking 6,7 wins. We’ve gotten better across the board but we’re gonna have to work with a rookie HC and QB so there’ll be growing pains in one of the toughest divisions in football. But I’m confident for the future with Spytek in charge
we have seen many season where teams went from worst to first and the playoffs...chicago did a turn around in one yr, the pats did a turn around in 1 yr, head coachs make a huge difference both teams had rookie qbs that stunk the yr before, we have a rookie head coach with credentials of being a winner (super bowl winner) we will have a rookie qb and we have invested in the oline and defense big time, we could surprise big like the bears did last yr
