Our Defense
If we're really gonna run a 3-4 then these depth charts should show it. Our line should consist of Hemingway, Laula, and Fatukasi with Crosby and Paye as our OLBs. Crosby played linebacker in high school. The position is not entirely strange to him.

Gimme a Mike Washington home run against that #31 ranked Saints run defense... time to mix him in more, Jeanty's ankle, etc.

I really like what I see from Stukes but Denzel Boston going the next pick after will be interesting to watch through the years. He’s looking like a WR1 after the first 2 games.

We should have taken Boston. Guy is a beast. Big fast hands catcher. They usually work out well.LayneStaley wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2026 9:36 am I really like what I see from Stukes but Denzel Boston going the next pick after will be interesting to watch through the years. Early in the Charger game I feared Harbaugh was just going to pound the ball over and over again because it looked like they were having some success. I was getting that uneasy feeling again but then things changed for the betterSkullCrusher wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2026 9:51 am The major oddity in the Raiders run D is the avg given up per carry is high.

The Chargers had a lot of dropped passes last Sunday. Herbert was able to put the ball where needed.
That first INT should have been a completion. The Raiders had some luck fall their way.

....and so did the chargers, as at least a few of the drops from jeanty would have been huge gains, if not 6.

When he caught it with two defenders around him, took the hit, and kept trucking to the house, I knew he was something special. I love when WR's can-do stuff like that.LayneStaley wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2026 9:36 am I really like what I see from Stukes but Denzel Boston going the next pick after will be interesting to watch through the years. It's so far ahead of what most thought where it would be that it makes you consider recalibrating expectations.

Good Safeties are harder to come by than good WR so when the chance comes along i’d always tale the position that is harder to fill when it is position of needRaidernation1979 wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2026 10:05 am We should have taken Boston. Stokes, Stukes & Masses have played well so far & i think that helps with the decision to move McCoy along slower than we maybe would have.
We were in dire need at DB & so far it seems like we’ve fixed some of those issues although i expect a rough rookie patch at somepoint

Polamao displaying all the hallmarks of the old bad Raiders we suffered through for too long. Thick-headed.
