Youre missing the other point. Insubordination is a big deal. It cannot be tolerated. You do what he did in the military and it gets you a court martial. In the corporate world, it gets you fired. In court, it gets you a contempt citation. You cant just give him a pass because this is not a one-off. Its not even a two-off. He needs to be held to account for his behavior. The only way to do that for an athlete on a guaranteed contract is to give him bad publicity. And he obviously is obsessed with his public image so that is where he should be hit to cut him down to size. And that is necessary if he is to remain on the team, because he has very poor impulse control. I hope he is asked 25 times a day about this, because the pain and embarrassment of being in the fishbowl and the repercussions that has on his cherished public image will hopefully serve as aversion therapy for him to prevent future bad impulsive decisions. This cant and shouldnt be made painless for him. And if he feels he doesnt want to deal with it and demands a trade, even better.SkullCrusher wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 9:37 am Fans focus too much on this. If you let it lie and ignore you see it's not a big deal in our lives.
If he's traded fine, if he's here fine.
Otherwise you just play into the media parts you most likely don't like, they need off-season stories to farm.
See this for what it is and ascend past it.
That's a whole new level of making shit up to meet an agendaAttyla wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 1:02 pm I have read some serious bullshit on this site but I think that is some bullshit on an epic level.
Seriously. If he were a Crusader, he would be drawn and quartered. If he was a Knight Templar, he would be burned at the stake. If he were a Mongol, he would be hung on a pike. What kind of bullshit is that?FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 1:43 pm That's a whole new level of making shit up to meet an agenda
My brain literally hurts after reading that.Attyla wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 1:02 pm I have read some serious bullshit on this site but I think that is some bullshit on an epic level.
If he were a football player he would might be traded or released.Attyla wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 1:47 pm Seriously. If he were a Crusader, he would be drawn and quartered. And after he got paid, he brought it every game. So he runs his mouth. I don't watch his day time show. I watch the games. I don't give a f[raiders_icon]ck what he says as long as he plays hard and leads the team to do the sameSkullCrusher wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 3:17 pm If he were a football player he would might be traded or released.
Either way Maxx is eating well tonight and for as many nights as one can see.
He gots the FU money.
That what I think. Maxx never wanted a trade nor did the team feel they were done with him. If was and still is if someone wanted to grossly over pay you deal him. If not we will see him next year.chucker wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 3:19 pm I don't want to dive into the Maxx drama world but the Rob Leonard hire deserves a quick take. My take is that regardless of hiring Rob Leonard, and regardless of whether Maxx suddenly starts singing kumbaya, you still answer the phone if it rings and evaluate trade offers and make the right decision based on the value. This is not, and should not be, the end of trade rumors.
Maybe Leonard was hired because he was the best option. Not the best option for Maxx but the best option. Maybe Maxx is just a player on the team and it did not factor in. All of that can be trueFLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 4:26 pm That what I think. Maxx never wanted a trade nor did the team feel they were done with him. It's odd the same people who thought the team was over him now think we got Leonard to appease him. It's one way or the other
Whats the BS? Are you saying that he was not being insubordinate to Spytek? This team has had a culture problem for decades. And letting a player publicly diss his GM without repercussion contributes to that. The culture of this team needs to change, and you cant have such a lack of discipline where a player thinks he can get away with dissing the management. No CEO of any organization can afford to tolerate that, because if he does, he becomes just another fella. Either you are going to have discipline or youre not. And a football team has to have discipline. I think its counterproductive to keep a loose cannon around for this rebuild, especially given his age and injury history. But if they do let him stay, somethings gotta give.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sat Feb 14, 2026 1:43 pm That's a whole new level of making shit up to meet an agenda
