The Cardinals just carved another teams ass and Minshew again looked like a pre season all pro. Man, pre season is a wild experience. It seems over 50% of it you can't take serious as proof of anything

I was never impressed with the guy at all when I have seen him play. A few on here were raving about him saying he was a steal in FA. I was hoping I just caught bad games and he was better than I thought.DanKD wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2026 7:10 pm Nailor could end up being a bust of a signing. I have not been impressed thus far
I don't take a lot seriously in preseason but so far he has not impressed

I said it before and I'll say it again, if this was any other teams receiving room, we would be laughing at how horrible it is. Instead we have to try to talk Nailor up and convince ourselves he can be a number 1 wr. Other than Bowers, this team has absolutely nothing as far as being a receiving weaponDanKD wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2026 7:10 pm Nailor could end up being a bust of a signing. I can’t get his weak sauce patty-caking with the DB on one of Mendo’s sideline back shoulder throws out of my mind. He was busy crying for PI before the ball had even arrived. You gotta block out the defender or high point or those won’t work. Nailor showed he’s not the guy for that play. Be nice to see those with Bowers.
It’s early, but I’d sure like to see what Kubiak sees in the dude.
Hard to high point the ball when you stand at 5 foot 11 like Nailor. Or Tre 5 foot 9. Or Benson 6 foot.
Our starting 3 WRs.

Couple things I liked.
Giving the 4th string QB game snaps with 30 seconds left. They kid may never play a game in the league but now he has. Very noble.
Giving a carry to Loeby just outside the 20 on 3rd and 4 to see what hes made of.
Didn't see much or any Red zone offense during preseason.
Why give away your strategy for meaningless scores.
Those reps are done in practice.

He seemed like a repeat of what we have. He had some solid games last year but certainly was not going to wow you. A role player we seem to have overpaid for. But the book is not written on the guy.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 4:18 am I was never impressed with the guy at all when I have seen him play. Yeah I mentioned that a post before the one you quoted. Nailor 6’ on a bunch of sites, 5’11” on Wiki, makes me think it wouldn’t be a shock if he was 5’10” in socks. He looked small, played small against the 9’ers.KillerRaider30 wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 5:29 am Hard to high point the ball when you stand at 5 foot 11 like Nailor. Or Tre 5 foot 9. Or Benson 6 foot.
Our starting 3 WRs.
Last year Mendo’s starters were Cooper 6’ and built like a brick shithouse, Sarratt 6’2”, and Becker 6’4”, who I really hope we grab if we go DT in the 1st next year. We’d have to move up by packaging our 2nd with another pick. Of course if we can grab Smith, then a star DT will have to wait or come in FA.

Those big receivers help with his outs/sideline/boundary passes. His ball placement is incredible but its hard to make those passes when you have Tattoo from Fantasy Island running the routes.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 6:12 am Yeah I mentioned that a post before the one you quoted. My wife was going through some channels a few days ago and stopped on a fantasy island episode. I hadn’t seen that show in decades. I realized quickly why because it was horrible tv and tattoo was a creepy little dudeRI RAIDER wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 7:31 am Those big receivers help with his outs/sideline/boundary passes. We've sucked for decades and especially the last five years at least but were going to fix every hole in one off season?

No and we know that Mr Will but there has been discussions about the urgency of need or not for a #1 WR because "we have Bowers"Willmark wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 11:33 am We've sucked for decades and especially the last five years at least but were going to fix every hole in one off season?

The int Fernando threw this week was on the dwarf wideout.

I see we're going to have another qb that's Teflon to some on here. It wasn't a perfect pass. Both can be blamed. Just like the check down the week before to Washington. It was late and Washington didn't sit when he should haveKillerRaider30 wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 1:13 pm No and we know that Mr Will but there has been discussions about the urgency of need or not for a #1 WR because "we have Bowers"
