I’m not saying I want him, I just wonder if he’s in the running. You know he wants to pass Shula.

Brady absolutely does not want any of his future success tied to Belichek

Why would any coach want to come here knowing he cant build a team?

Wait for it.

I don't like the Brady part of this.

He's a former player and current announcer, not a scout or administrator. Let Spytek do his job the way he wants to do it. If he wants to include Brady, then fine, but leave it up to him. What I hope is that Brady had no input last offseason because if he did, the Raiders should buy him out of his stake and never let him in the building again.

Anyway, take care Pete, and in the future be wary of hiring a dog groomer that has the same name as your son.

Now, with big draft capital and the first pick in the draft, we're likely the top destination in the league for a new HC. It doesn't really need to be said, but I'll say it anyway: Don't F**k It Up.

I was okay with hiring Pete as he looked fine when he last coached in Seattle. A couple of years can really make a difference at that age and he just looks old now and it was obvious that he was done.

He had a good run and I’m still thankful for his service. Now let’s get this thing right.

His own son got him fired. I hope the next coach has the good sense to move JPJ back to center.

The one who made the call to hire him should also be gone.
If hiring the right coach was easy there wouldn’t be the masses of firings every black Monday. To be fair Pete has winning pedigree and I don’t think anyone would have predicted that the Raiders finish last place and worse than AP. They clearly went after the right guy in Johnson but once he was out of the running, the pickings were slim and they probably looked at Pete as a bridge who could set up a foundation. It didn’t work out but picking 1st overall is a really nice parting gift. This hiring cycle looks even worse and we have to hope that the Raiders braintrust finally gets one of these hire right.

Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 8:42 am As I should be. I would be happy if that statement ended at Spytek will run operations going forward.

Instead, Mark never learns, like Brady too, that you need to delegate properly.

This may be difficult for you to grasp but I want the guy who’s spent 20 years preparing for this job, putting time in etc, to run football operations instead of the guy who calls games on Sunday, then bangs low IQ skanks when he should be scouting players.

BTW, you’ve been denying that Brady had any power the last year. I guess a couple tweets changed your mind.

Alright I’ll let you go get Brian Flores’s press release ready. I’d appreciate if you would let Brady know how Johnson, Cohen, & Moore did this year so he doesn’t screw this up again
Um no, Brady currently calls games on Sunday, but he spent decades learning the game of football. As for his involvement up til now? No, it did not change my mind. He was never in the building during the season and was very rarely there during the off season. He was a sounding board, by his own admission. The fact that the Raiders said he will be active in the new coaching search does not necessarily mean its true and if it is true, the "guy who calls games on Sunday" can use his HOF playing career (you know, that thing you never had) to our advantage. I get it you think Flores is the choice because if it is and we fail you can pound your chest, but the process will include interviews where Brady is likely not even going to be in the room because he will be preparing for the next game he calls.

News flash, fat man, I value his opinion above yours by a factor of a million. Tattoo that to your stomach.

Yeah, there isn't an obvious guy like Ben Johnson this year. Everyone else was a distant second. We need a coach who's a QB whisperer and an OC who's one too. Oh, and an OL coach that isn't closely related to either.

I'd offer up names but I have no clue who we should be looking at.

At least it’s an exciting time to be a fan. First pick, new coach and staff coming, cap space and picks …

Great news! I hope Brennan Carroll has already removed his unqualified incompetent ass from Henderson, and also hope the damage he did to JPJ, Glaze, Rogers, and Grant isn't irreparable.

I can forgive that the game passed him by and he was in over his head, but the nepotism is unforgivable. It's a major no no in any major organization to have direct family members working for you in key positions unless you own said organization. And specially when they are so clearly underperforming. Brennan Carroll should be teaching at high school level
