Should we shlt can Chip Kelly and Hire Brian Daboll as OC before hes scooped up by another team ?
Is he a good fit with Pete Carroll and does his scheme match our offesive strengths in TE and our RB.
Does pete have any connection or ties with Daboll ?
Thoughts !

You can bang that drum until it breaks but Kiffin isn't coming back. He has 25 better places he could go. I honestly don't think he goes anywhere for a while.ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 5:56 pm Not that I think he is the solution but he get's results. Honestly, I think Jeanty would thrive in his offense though his propensity for horizontal passing tends to condense the field.
I rate him higher than Chip Kelly, a lot higher.
I'll keep banging the Lane Kiffin drum though.

How funny would it be if he stayed in conference and took the Florida gig?

He has done wonders at Ole Miss and he is going to have his chance to step into a larger program if he wishes. NFL has to be looking at him as a viable option in the next few years.DeathStar24 wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 5:34 am How funny would it be if he stayed in conference and took the Florida gig?
From being fired on the tarmac to the flavor of the month. I honestly thought he had killed his career. Amazing what maturing can do for a guy.

Kiffin's been here before. He knows how this organization is run whether it's Twilight Al or P.F. Chang's permanent customer of the month.

I thought I had read somewhere that Kiffin would make a change if it was for the Alabama HC job (if it were to become available)

...I think you are more so right, as, being in bills country, and seeing it up close for those years, it seems like early on he is effective, and a lot of that is helped by having Allen, but it seemed like every year, d coordinators would adjust during the season, and he couldn't seem to evolve to adjust to their adjustments, and the offense would become less potent later in the year....
...I think he isn't alone as an oc in that respect, as I think the ones that do continue to evolve over the course of the season, and adjust to the adjustments made against them, are the specials ones, but that was what it seemed like was happen in buff when he was here.....

I’m not saying he’s my number one candidate but I think you can do worse. The Raiders are in fact doing that with Kelly. Vance Joseph’s defenses in Denver were not that great when he was head coach but look at him now as a DC only in the same city. It seems like a lot of these guys become better coordinators after a failed HC gig. Although that’s certainly not been the case with Kelly.DeathStar24 wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 12:09 pm I don't know. Seems Josh McDaniels is another not meant to be a head coach but can flourish as OC coordinator. Doesn’t hurt he has an actual Qb playing for him either in Maye.heavyD wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 1:57 pm I’m not saying he’s my number one candidate but I think you can do worse. That would be a strange turn of events watching him get a second shot at his dream job after what happened at USC.RickRyb wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 7:49 am I thought I had read somewhere that Kiffin would make a change if it was for the Alabama HC job (if it were to become available)
Either way, I have always been a fan. He has a pretty good gig where he is. I see him going to the NFL (not necessarly us) if he were to make a change.
