2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

I think the QB factory sticks to their board, as should we. So if there's a QB there in the later rounds and they are BPA on the Raiders board, they should take him. Drafting Mendoza is irrelevant IMO when it comes to drafting a QB later. The staff should be able to develop two QBs concurrently.
And of course they are going to aim high for compensation. Doesn't mean they will get that. But you can almost guarantee that Tanner is gone just 3 years after drafting him. If only we could get a bag of Cheetos for AO12...

Is it?
Much like the O-line, we don't know a lot about what we have at the WR position. I wasn't a fan of the Bech pick but when did get on the field he flashed some potential. Tucker has shown potential as well; same with Thornton. What those guys would look like in a competent offense with competent play calling is unknown.
I don't see WR as a draft need this year. There will be some FAs available next year and depending on where we land in the draft, there'll be a number of WRs there too. In the meantime, we have needs at every position on D except at DE. The need for OL has been discussed in depth so I'll leave that issue alone.

likely the best player available in the second will be an Oineman. Dline is a bit trickier because this draft is loaded with them so you have to target the best available in the third regardless of positionraider_kin wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 8:03 am Agree in general, bu don't we have to target O and D line early?

For me it's BPA unless it's a very few positions. Such as TE or punter. If that lines up with need. Awesome but with the holes on the team it would be difficult for it not to line up with need

Yes, it is. Thornton hasn't shown dick. Bech, Nailor and Tucker are your starters. You feel comfortable with that? How about behind them? And again, you signed Nailor based on upside. It still has to hit here.Opoponax50 wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 8:51 am Is it?

I've been the biggest advocate against an alpha WR1 in this offense but depth is absolutely a need.

Agreed 100%. Plus this roster is still razor thin and has holes everywhere. Wasting a pick on a second qb or kicker for that matter makes absolutely zero sense to mechucker wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 8:41 am Does the QB factory draft 2 QBs in any year, or every year, or is it one every couple of years?
Also "a trade market is not emerging for McKee".
We should consider QB in the draft next year, but this year we need to focus on Mendoza's success, which won't be aided by drafting another QB.

I previously posted I would love to draft Blake Miller at 36 if he is available (I'm seeing him mocked as high as the mid 20's). I think I'd prefer him to Iheanachor (who may also be gone) just because I think Miller is more ready out of the box while Iheanachor is more of a high ceiling type.
If we can get one of those guys at 36, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. I would even consider trading up -- maybe we could package 36 + 102 + 117 and try to move up into the late 20s?
But if we miss on those guys, I wouldn't rely on the draft to try to fill our starter spot. As far as I can tell, there are some developmental guys later on, but not guys you'd want protecting a young QB right out the gate.
Even with Blake or Iheanachor, starting a rookie comes with risk, but at least they have the potential to be acceptable starters year 1. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me it gets pretty thin after that when it comes to 'ready on day 1' players.
I'm more than happy developing a T, but if we don't get one of the Ts before the talent drops off, I would look at which players are available after the draft (remaining free agents, late cuts, cheapish trades) to be our starting RT if the front office isn't ready to roll with Charles Grant

dline is deep but not at dt/nt, which is also a huge need for a team going to 3/4, oline is deep also and can be had in teh 3rd or 4th especially at guardAttyla wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 8:53 am likely the best player available in the second will be an Oineman. cooper and kc are wr1 types and both are different from one another in skill set, im not opposed tot he raiders drafting a wr1 type especially cooper whom was his team mate at indyBoKnows81 wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 8:56 am Yes, it is. By draft value charts, that is a gross overpay to move up 8-10 slots.Raiders Baby wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 10:12 am If we can get one of those guys at 36, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. NT you can get on day three, some solid projected players will be there and with the number of 4ths we have we can move as neededmstrbass2000 wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 11:21 am dline is deep but not at dt/nt, which is also a huge need for a team going to 3/4, oline is deep also and can be had in teh 3rd or 4th especially at guard

What source are you using? I referenced DraftekCruisin with Tooz wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 11:25 am By draft value charts, that is a gross overpay to move up 8-10 slots.

According to that ^, pick 36 is worth 540 points. Pick 102 is worth 92, and 117 is worth 60. Quick math, 540 + 60 = 600, and 600 + 92 = 692.
Pick 26 is worth 700 and pick 27 is worth 680. Based on Draftek, I would expect that my offer could get us up from 36 somewhere between 25-27

The point structure should only be used as a guideline. Actual talent in an individual draft will swing those values a lot. This is a draft where the talent depreciates those values somewhatRaiders Baby wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 12:03 pm What source are you using? I referenced Draftek

There are a lot of charts out there. A lot of them overvalue higher picks and undervalue medium and later picks. Put it in player terms. That trade would effectively mean forgoing players like Omar Cooper, Caleb Banks and Donte Corleone for Miller. Would you make that trade off? If the Raiders did that, that would be extremely disappointing. A draft value chart that says thats a fair trade calls into question its validity.

1) Omar Cooper goes in the first in most mocks that I’ve seenCruisin with Tooz wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2026 12:36 pm There are a lot of charts out there. 2) I don’t think we are necessarily forgoing one of the DL, can get someone like Orange at 67 or it’s possible Corleone would be there at 134
And even if all of that proved true (we ended up missing out on Omar who was still there at 36, and both of the DT.), I still might consider that trade.
The dropoff between the top 5 OTs and the next group is pretty significant. If the front office thinks we need a starter at RT in the draft, it might be worth it to make sure we get them. IMO, the number 1 goal is to support Fernando, and if we’re not thrilled about the OT spot it wouldn’t be crazy to be aggressive about it
