It's also a 4th hand account of an alleged conversation between Brady and Crosby, so why even report it lol. This report has exactly zero value and doesn't really fit with the what I believe Crosby would ever say having no context. Guy was upset about not being able to play yet would retire if the Raiders refused to trade him(?). Anythings possible I suppose but sounds ridiculous.chucker wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 10:09 am Do you think Brady is going to tell a GM from another team that the team absolutely needs to trade Maxx because he won't play for the Raiders again? The idea of Brady telling this to anyone is completely outlandish.
Given Crosby's recent interviews I tend to believe he is looking to be traded but I doubt things have gotten that contentious. Unless Brady told him to "shut tf up" and do as he's told, lol.

Completely irrelevant. This is a rebuild. Sounds like we have smart people finally making decisions. The smart decision in this case would be to get a haul for a guy that is approaching 30 years old, is a smidge overrated and replacing him with 2 or 3 guys via either picks or FA to get younger with more production. Maxx is not a game changer nor does he play QB. Take the haul.erickench wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 2:01 pm I can't believe they're gonna trade this guy. CARROLL IS GONE!!!! He's the one that benched him the last two games. What possible problem could he have with Spytek?

Who's to say it's Brady leaking this info? Maxx's agent could let it be known that he's relayed that info to Brady, could come from other sources besides Brady, although Brady could have also told someone he trusts, and maybe that person isn't as trustworthy as Brady thought?chucker wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 10:09 am Do you think Brady is going to tell a GM from another team that the team absolutely needs to trade Maxx because he won't play for the Raiders again? Here's the thing, if it was just JLC, I'd probably agree that it's a buncha BS, but there's a whole lot of smoke here (Glazer, Schefter, Rapsheet, Tits Russini, JLC etc), and among all of Maxx's comments, he hasn't denied that he wants out.- These users gave a High Five to the author Corleone for the post:

Completely agree. Where there's smoke, there's fire. At this point, I'd be shocked if Maxx wasnt traded.Corleone wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 2:38 pm Who's to say it's Brady leaking this info? “GM” doesn’t have to mean NFL GM. Could just be Danny the GM of Wendy’s off Bernard Blvd. He’s really active on Xitter and TikTok during his breaks.
As to Maxx, at best we’re Super Bowl bound in 2 to 3 years. That puts Maxx at 30-31. That’s optimistically the tail end of a DE’s prime. Pessimistically, dude’s in decline. He’s had 3 biggish surgeries that we know of. The latest is his 2nd one on the left knee.
But I think the biggest thing for a new regime coming in is how he dealt with with the recent shutdown. Voicing displeasure and saying he wishes he could still play, wishing he was with the team is fine. Showing up the FO by posting video of you playing basketball and acting out like a puberty-enraged teenager. (Who then f’n GOT SURGERY.) Well, if the right trade opportunity comes, I take that shit.
No one is bigger than the TEAM.

Exactly. We already had one regime hold us hostage by keeping him. I have a feeling this regime will do the RIGHT thing and get rid of him. For both the team and Maxx.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 3:11 pm “GM” doesn’t have to mean NFL GM. I know some fans won't be happy for some odd reason but if you care about Maxx like most of you act like you do, you'd want to send him to a contender before his play drops off a cliff. Me personally, I don't give a f[raiders_icon]ck about his feelings or where he goes.

If we can get a starting T and starting WR with the picks from a Crosby trade and use his Cap room to sign multiple DL guys it’s a no brainer from a timeline point of view.
I like Maxx but a great DE on a shitty D really doesn’t make a difference imo.

Im not judging. Im not laying blame. But if Brady said this, then he is destroying Crosby's potential trade value. So no more shenanigans. No more Tomfoolery. No more Bradyhoo.

I honestly don't think he's going anywhere and I don't believe the fact we sat him has angered him to the point where he doesn't want to be here. Did it piss him off initially? Absolutely it did...did he act out a bit in a social forum and atmosphere that he grew up in that a lot of us don't altogether understand or appreciate....yeah. But there's no way that's the reason he's done with us, which is what the media propaganda machine wants us Raider fans to believe. I can get behind that he might finally be tired of losing, constant change, instability in chain of command, a well intentioned owner that has no business making any decisions regarding the direction of this team,(maybe he has finally got out of his own way). And if that's the case that he wants to win so bad and doesn't believe he has the years left in him to contribute his best while we make that transition than I respect it. But for someone who adores Jordan and Kobe as much as he does I just don't think he's gonna force a trade when it would be that much more satisfying to him to stay the course and be an absolute Legend of this franchise and instead of chasing that dream he could be a part of leading it. But if he goes somewhere else for me anyways nothing but respect and love for Mad Maxx.

He would have to be really f[raiders_icon]cking stupid to not see it all ended up for the best. I can’t imagine him maybe getting another sack or two was worth the possibility having to draft Ty Simpson top 3 instead of Mendoza at 1.
