World Cup 2026
Yep, what the rest of the world calls football.
US? We have to win group D. If we don’t we’re likely facing Brazil in the next round assuming we’re the second qualifying team in the group stage.
We SHOULD beat Paraguay and Australia, Turkey is a much tougher match.

The Year, 1994. The problem? Too many ties in soccer. The solution? Organizers of the Caribbean Cup installed a new rule that made goals in overtime count as two goals. But it made teams play extra hard in overtime. Great idea!! The best of intentions. What could go wrong? Turns out, math for the win.
In the last group game of the tournament, Barbados needed to win by two goals over Grenada to advance, otherwise Grenada would advance. But with mere minutes left in the game, Barbados was up by one goal. So, they employed a seldom used tactic and scored on themselves sending the game into overtime. A single score by Barbados would advance them. What ensued was one of the most unusual overtimes in the history of the game. Barbados was forced to defend both goals with Granada trying to push the ball into either goal ensuring they would advance. But Barbados did indeed score a single goal counting as two scores and they advanced.
The rule was dropped, well after falling to the ground and rolling around holding it knee crying out in agony for five minutes.
