I would have rather had Cousins for $25M on a 1 yr prove it deal and giving up no pick. At least Pete knows what he’s getting I guess. Ugh.
A f[raiders_icon]cking 3rd for this trash.
...and $31 Mil due this year and perhaps a new contract?
This is BS. How the hell is Cappa and Smith supposed to give us any confidence?

Personally a 3rd is too high. I’d have been ok with a 4th so it’s not too crazy but the contract will be the final piece to shape whether it was good or not. If he gets the 40ish he wants then this wasn’t a good deal. If it’s in 30s then I can accept it as a smart deal.
Well if you pay attention to my posts like you said you did, you would already know that my answer for this year was Darnold. Between FA and the draft, he was the best option for immediate wins. So please explain to me that a guy (Darnold) that everyyyyyonnnee was bitching about paying 40mil a year but no trade compensation, y'all are suddenly ok with paying a 35 year old washed the f[raiders_icon]ck up Geno Smith that same amount WHILE giving up a 3rd round pick!? Keep stalking my posts tho...
I don’t need to stalk them, they are everywhere lol. Sam Darnold has played one good season with perfect conditions around him, in all other instances he was complete dogshit. Geno has shown for the past several seasons he’s more than serviceable and his familiarity with Pete will help. It’s just sports bro and I’m sure by the end of next season I’ll be seeing pro Geno posts coming from your way.

Everyone is freaking out over something that night not even be that much in the grand scheme of things

I'm off the feel good train. This just reeks of typical Raiders. Yeah...... I've had a few pours of bourbon, but this just isn't what I thought this group of 3 was going to do. I'm on the prove it train now..... and all of them are fair game.

The Raiders just remind of a little kid you give 5 dollars to expecting them to blow it. But when you give them 100 dollars they buy the same 5 dollar trash they just paid 100 bucks for it this time.
Correct move is saving draft capital FOR THE FUTURE.
Pete is 74 and has stated several times with Brady and Spytek the plan is to win now. How is any of this surprising? We weren’t rolling back with AOC and a Rookie.
