Did anyone else find Tyree Wilsons performance on Sunday to be insulting?
I’m not trying to pile on or hate just to hate, but watching Tyree Wilson on Sunday honestly pissed me off more than it impressed me. Yes, he had a career game. The numbers were great. For one afternoon, he finally looked like the guy we were told we were drafting.
But context matters.
He waited until we were 2–14, the season was completely over, and then decided to show up against Kansas City’s backups. A third-string quarterback (who I still don't know the name of lol) and reserve offensive linemen. That’s when the urgency finally appears?
What really bothers me isn’t just that it took this long, it’s that it reinforces everything fans have been frustrated about. The talent is clearly there, which makes it even worse that we haven’t seen it when games actually mattered. When the season was still alive. When Crosby was getting doubled every snap and desperately needed help. When effort and impact could’ve changed outcomes.
Now fans are going to convince themselves this is who he really is and that he’s turned a corner. I’m not buying it. One good game after years of minimal impact, and it comes in a meaningless situation against backups. That doesn’t erase the body of work.
If anything, this performance makes him look worse in my eyes. It shows that when there’s no pressure and nothing on the line, he can dominate. That’s not what this team needs. We don’t need a late-season stat line. We need consistency, urgency, and effort when the games actually count.
Thanks for finally showing something, Tyree, but it’s too little and way too late for me. I still see him as a draft bust, and one breakout game against backups doesn’t move the needle.

Wild guess but, because it was backups he looked good. Does seem like anyone half decent knows what he’s going to do and just nullifies a lot of the time.
3rd stringers are 3rd ‘cause they can’t.

... I don't think anyone on here took that bait to be honest. he excelled against weaker competition, sounds about on par.

As stated above, I hope that performance was enough for another GM to consider trading something (anything) for him.
Raiders could save a little over $4M with a trade, and it’s not like they’d ever consider exercising his 5th year option.
Wash the stink off this roster. And he’s part of that, very unfortunately.

I wouldn’t get rid of Wilson until we have 4 better DEs on the roster.

it was a pre season level game so of course he's going to look good against 3rd, 4th stringers and guys just called up from the ps that won't be on the team next year.
Hes sucked and been a wasted pick since the dumbasses chose him. 5th or 6th round prospect was all he was at the drafting. Makes most of us wonder how those guys get and keep their jobs in the NFL who can't see players like wilson

f[raiders_icon]ck Tyree but we'll have to give him hos 4th year because. He's the kind of player who figures it out year 6 for another team.
That and he thinks he was playing the 1st this week.
There's only up to go Mr. 7th overall pick. Good luck

Recovering foot or not, it was clear from his rookie year on that he had no clue about how to make improvements in his technique, that plus probably a lack of heart and desire that a truly good player has. Exhibit A — see Maxx Crosby. Some here questioned his intelligence because of his lack of ability to adapt, but I see it more as no motive after he got paid millions. Trade him for whatever.

He has one more year on his rookie deal, and no way do we exercise his fifth-year option. Just hasn't shown enough.

No.
BTW they had three regular starters plus their two regular backups.
He isnt going to set the world on fire, but until you get better guys on the roster it makes no sense to cut him.
