Give Marcus or a vet like him a chance while we draft and groom a young QB.
Exactly, give Mariota or Winston a year or 2 as a bridge and move on. Some people act like replacing 57-70 and 23 tds/14 int's is like replacing Rodgers or Wilson.
One of the biggest excuses I hear for the soon to be 35-40 mil guy is the roster is too weak, well if someone offers a boatload of picks you take it to build that roster and take a shot at trying to find a real franchise Qb instead of locking the team into a large extension with the current guy.
I doubt the owner would allow that though until it's too late and the current guy's trade value is much lower than it currently is in this market.
But 4800 yds passing!
Unfortunately yards don't win you games, points do. And it's not even like Carr's extra passing yards facilitated scoring for others. As a whole the Patriots offense was better with Mac Jones.

People laugh at Dallas for over paying a high to mid tier QB that much but want us to do the same? They'll actually celebrate when we do.

Nothin’. I’ve got nothing. The only way to continue supporting Carr in light of all the evidence is to dig one’s heels in and stay strong in one’s powerful blinding willful ignorance.
Finding any team willing to give you actual draft compensation for this f[raiders_icon]ck nut is a miracle. Which of course the Raiders turn their back on.
On the bright-side, this miserable f[raiders_icon]cking curse of a quarterback won’t play forever.
Btw, here’s something that makes perfect sense. The Carr Family Crest…

Take it on the chin next season and get that guy in the following draft and get this organization their QB. Have a damn plan for success down the road.
I agree, that extending Carr is NOT the answer and that QB is a HUGE question mark moving forward.
If they wait a year to trade him, they will not get the draft capital they would this year coming off a playoff berth and a weak QB class (supposedly) in this year's draft. And to wait a year, you will have to spend A LOT of draft capital moving down to get your guy.
The ONLY reason to postpone the trade is if you honestly believe the Raiders are Super Bowl contenders next season. If not, then you trade him NOW.

If not, then get the contract done now, so that eventually it will settle back down to reasonable numbers as the market keeps moving.
The third option is McDaniels wants to see Carr in his system before making up his mind. I prefer this one over extending him, but my preferred option is trade him now and take a QB @ 22.

It's like Carr is some sort of ancient witch that's cast a spell over the Raiders organization. Someday the spell will be broken and he'll go flying out of Allegiant on a broomstick as snakes sprout out of his head while cackling something about ruining the team's salary cap.
