Pete Carroll is officially the Raiders HC
OFFSEASON CHAMPIONS BABY!! The Raiders are the kings of the off-season and pre season
Not really. We usually look just as dumb in the offseason as we do in the regular season.
Pete turned Geno Smith into a playoff caliber QB, Im not worried at the moment about the QB, I'm sure he already has some ideas of how to approach that need.
I'm sure part of his "vision" he sold Brady on was what he planned to do at QB.

He did turn a 3rd rounder into a future hall of famer and a never was bust into a solid starter.

I really like this hire because this organization does not have the systems in place for another 1st time GM with a 1st time HC. There is too much they do not know in their new roles.
There were only 2 really blue chip 1st time personnel people. Ben Johnson and John Spytek. The Raiders went with the GM and paired him with a proven HC who has the systems in place to help develop Spytek.
I really think Ben Johnson is going to be a good coach, but pairing him with Spytek would make both their jobs just that much harder when you have the organization that knows nothing of winning and what systems need to be in place to help them succeed.

Be a fan since the 70's, cannot remember a time the Raiders hired a HC with a record or resume that equals Pete's.
This maybe the most normal shit the Raiders have done in the history of the organization.
No team has ever hired a coach this age. Spin it all you want, I’ll look at the positives and hope for the best, but we’re in uncharted waters.

Pete has been at it almost nonstop. I get it, he is dirt old and he is a short term solution but we finally have a guy who can connect with the players, is not an utter dick and is well respected universally.
And I think all Raiders fans who wear their colors on can enjoy 20% off on the early bird dinner at Dennys, now. So we got that going for us....which is nice. Only available until 4PM every Wednesday, cannot be combined with any other offer.
