You lol, that’s one of most common words in your posts I’ve noticed. Scouring the internet most insiders believe the compensation is fair if not favoring the Raiders. I’m not a Geno guy but he has less wear and tear than most 35 year old QBs and the way QBs are protected I have no concerns about him playing till he’s 38(the current age of Stafford). What was your answer at QB? I’ve heard about how horrible all the QBs mentioned are from your posts but nothing about a resolution, surely it can’t be tanking? So what was the correct move?
Correct move is saving draft capital FOR THE FUTURE.

Im not a big Geno guy but we are calling a guy that over the last 3 seasons averaged 4000 yards and 24 tds "trash"?
We are acting like we are moving on from HOF QBs or something.
He is way better than we had

Between FA and the draft, he was the best option for immediate wins. So please explain to me that a guy (Darnold) that everyyyyyonnnee was bitching about paying 40mil a year but no trade compensation, y'all are suddenly ok with paying a 35 year old washed the f[raiders_icon]ck up Geno Smith that same amount WHILE giving up a 3rd round pick!? Keep stalking my posts tho...

So instead of drafting Geno Smith, we trade for Geno Smith instead.

Raiders acquire QB Geno Smith from Seahawks for 3rd-round pick
I wasn’t surprised to see that Geno Smith was traded to the Raiders. However, upon seeing the compensation, I said aloud, “A third-round pick? Why?”
Things would actually be different if the Raiders were a team on the cusp of a deep playoff run and only needed a game manager to help guide them. That’s not the case, however. The Raiders are a team with a faulty offensive line, no running game, a lacking No. 1 wide receiver, and some defensive holes. Smith will not fix all of these issues, and I don’t see the Raiders necessarily even reaching the playoffs with him unless they hit several home runs in free agency and the draft.
Meanwhile, this is a tremendous deal for the Seahawks. It was apparent that their ceiling was capped with Smith. Their best course of action was finding a young quarterback to replace him, and that’s what they’ll presumably do at No. 18 overall. Getting a third-round pick for Smith is a huge win.
Grade for Raiders – D
Grade for Seahawks – A+

Interesting take.
Not really. No. Esp not for the compensation and incoming deal.

Another guy who likely ain’t gonna outplay AOC in camp but is gonna start any way.
Yawn.
At least we didn’t give Darnold 9 figures.
