It really is amazing how many people give him a pass because he is likeable. He has run this team far worse than any franchise in the NFL in the last decade and it is not even close. And yes, that includes the Browns, at least they have won a playoff game.
He did get us that new Roomba!!

But the truth is he was lead around like a puppy at every step of the way. Without several guys most importantly Jerry Jones who salvaged the deal and Badain who was the real financial power in the organization the deal folds like a cheap tent. Davis's role in all of this was signing the deals others made for him.

Let's be honest here you have no idea how involved he was. A friend if a friend's friend told my sisters 3rd cousin he did nothing.
He has not been afraid to spend money on the team. Things don't always work out. He has Brady and Carroll on board let's hope it works out better than Gruden and McDaniels

Show us on this doll where that football man hurt you
Actually, I know quite a bit. It was financed through BOA and I have a direct connection of who was at the meetings and how the negotiations for the financing went down. I know exactly how McCallum was the one who brought Davis to Adelson who would not have gotten that meeting without McCallum. I know that in return for Jerry's help, Jerry got a ton of construction contracts and a good piece of the concessions. I know that it was Badain who was at all the finance meetings where Davis was not there at any of them. I know that Davis was only at the meetings where contracts needed his signature. Most all the rest was Davis being told what to do and when to do it. McCallum brokered the deal that fell apart, Jones picked up the pieces and Badain was the guy doing the negotiations with Jones. But credit where credit is due, Davis did what he was told to do and when to do it.

Dude has accomplished one amazing thing in his entire life, being conceived, and you gotta give the roses to Carol on that one.

Btw, here’s Davis explaining all the work he did to help bring the Aces a championship.
“We plan to win the championship this year,” Davis said. “I want to learn about women’s basketball, learn how they structure the rosters and all that.”

Unlike his father who served as his own general manager and made nearly every significant personnel decision for the Raiders before he died, Davis plans to let basketball minds Bill Laimbeer and Dan Padover run the show,

“I’d be crazy to get in the way, it’s their baby,” he said.
How fortunate for the Aces that he knew to stay the f[raiders_icon]ck out of the way immediately rather than 24 years for the Raiders.

Show us on this doll where that football man hurt you
This is one of the things he should be commended for. When it became clear that McDaniels was awful and wasn't going to get better, he shitcanned him midseason. I didn't like the Gruden hire, but he was willing to spend the money to get him. He gave Pierce the chance to prove himself.

The guy wants to win more than any owner. He really cares about the team. It hasn't worked out, but he's always trying to make the team better.

He meddles in football ops because he grew up around it and thinks he knows more so he can do more.

And the argument that he fired McDaniel? The comes on the heels of hiring him. I like that a lot of our fanbase likes the guy, he is very likeable. His father was not likeable but you don't care as long as he wins. But when the losses pile up, you then care quite a bit. But I do not follow a team to like an owner, I follow a team and want wins.

If anyone truly wants to know how the Aces found their way to being World Champions.

I think Pete Carrol is a great hire and this season should be fun to watch. I`m hoping (again) that I will see the ship turn and then be heading full steam north by the end of the season.

Let the dufus guy do blow off strippers asses at the Chicken Ranch in Pahrump as long as he doesnt meddle with the men in the building

Seems like everyone is pretty happy with the direction of the team at the moment.
True, but I also think the way he looks causes others to be more sympathetic. As evidenced with how many on the forum work so hard to award him for participation.

You forgot the sarcasm font.

If you weren’t being sarcastic, what other exceedingly simple tasks should we be commending him for? Maybe we could have a parade every time he makes a poopie and wipes all by himself.

I don’t hate the dude, but he is a HUGE reason this franchise has been such a shitshow for 22 out of the last 24 years.

“BUt tHE bRowNs ArE WOrSe!!!” For f[raiders_icon]ck sake, what kind of loser mentality do you need to have to find solace in being the 2nd worse franchise in the NFL?!? Smh

Thank the Heavens it looks like Davis has FINALLY figured out how best to help the team. By getting the f[raiders_icon]ck out of the way. The “look, but don’t touch” method to being an NFL owner.

Thank you Mark, here’s a lollipop.
Al was alive for a decade there and Mark had zero input.

He had to flip the roster/front office, surely that's a few years of rope. (Dennis years)

So now we are down to around 10 years of not good enough.

He hired Jack, Gruden, McD, Pierce and Pete.

Jack was a decent candidate, wasn't a total flop at all, just not good enough to get us there.

Gruden, similar to Jack, he was out of football for a long time, but the team was improving steadily, then the NFL caught Gruden in the Washington investigation. Gruden would probably still be here, good or bad.

McD, ok did the coach learn from his first failure? This happens. He was well respected as a OC. Total disaster. Mark aborted quickly 1.5 years.

Pierce makes the team look really strong to end the season, gets a year to prove it, didn't. IMO it was still a reasonable think to see where it went, cost us one season.

Pete his record speaks for itself, if he bombs it wasn't a bad hire, just didn't work out.

This isn't the workings of a complete idiot. We also just don't always happen to get the best choices and when in Oakland was a bit cash strapped.
