Well, each network is a separate beast. Unless you want a giant monopoly.ToastPatterson wrote: Sun Aug 31, 2025 7:43 pm Steaming is such a farce. Paramount + for this, Peacock for that. A YouTube NFL Sunday Ticket platform that is choppy.

Red Zone is not bad when the Raiders are not playing. Watching the scoring drives is light a highlight reel that is playing nonstop. It does take away a bit of the meat and bones stuff but I am not watching the other teams for that primarily. The zone also keeps the pace up and cuts away from "booth reviews" and such which tends to bog down the game today.

After NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson went on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday and officially confirmed commercials are returning full-time to RedZone this season, the sports public on social media erupted in complaints, gripes, and barbs at Disney and ESPN, which last month struck an equity deal with the league.
Here’s what’s actually happening.
RedZone began quietly testing ads last December in a two-box style, where ads appeared while NFL action remained on-screen. The NFL says that is how the ads this season will run: exactly as they did during that test.
There will be four 15-second ads in the seven-hour edition of RedZone in Week 1, a source tells FOS. That could change later in the season.
There will not be full ad breaks, where the football action disappears from the screen.
“It’s an incredibly small ad load,” an NFL spokesperson told Front Office Sports.
While ads are playing, viewers will hear the audio of the ads, but the other box will show NFL RedZone.

R.I.P. RedZone as we know it.
Greed rears its ugly head again.

All of the sports leagues and sports broadcasting sites are killing themselves with all of this greed. So many different networks that have different days of the weeks games. So much diversification where consumers have to buy so much to watch everything or just everything for their teams.
The current group of people that grew up with watching and going to sports games will continue to pay for it no matter how bad it gets. BUT all of this greed and bullshit is losing the next generations of fans. I would say from around 1995-2000 anyone born in those years to present and beyond do not and will not give a shit about any of the sports leagues in the future, especially with this insane way they are making consumers try to see the games. Don't need to mention going to the games in person, they've already priced out the regular fans which mean most people can't afford to take their children or grandchildren to the games which then eliminates the next generation of diehard fans.
They are cutting their own throats with all of this diversification and greed.
