Yeah, not with you on that one. No win is meaningless. I want to see this team compete.

I get it. Anyone who remembers the great Reggie Kinlaw has been all in for decades.

Thanks. Been a lot frustrating years, hasn't it?ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 7:18 pm I get it. Anyone who remembers the great Reggie Kinlaw has been all in for decades.

Indeed it has. I was frustrated in the mid 1990's. I had no clue what was ahead. lol.

Wins can be meaningless.ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 6:43 pm Yeah, not with you on that one. No win is meaningless. I want to see this team compete.
Beating Jacksonville and New Orleans last year cost us a chance at Cam Ward. For what? So Mark could smile like a delusional banshee.
Pyrrhic Victories.

Dick Vermeil. But your point is more than valid because he is certainly the exceptionRainman56 wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 5:53 pm Rule number 1...Don't hire a HC that retired from the game...Had there ever been one that succeeded?

I don’t think Pete forgot to coach after one season off but the Raiders aren’t a finished product and I think he needs to be afforded more time before we can conclude that this was a bad hire. It’s concerning that the special teams have been terrible as well as the offensive line. That’s on him but if those areas improve over the course of the season it bodes well for next year as this organization badly needs a little bit of continuity.

That’s pretty much my take as well. Raiders were a 4 win team last year so I’ll not cast full judgement after 2-4 games. Having said that, as I have said before, Geno is worse than I anticipated. Hopefully this poor of play is unsustainable and he at least can be average until we draft his replacement. I hope to see emphasis on building the trenches and drafting a QB in the near futureheavyD wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 9:47 am I don’t think Pete forgot to coach after one season off but the Raiders aren’t a finished product and I think he needs to be afforded more time before we can conclude that this was a bad hire. Yeah 4 games doesn’t warrant giving up on the season let alone the entire current regime. NFL season is a rollercoaster. Injuries and poor play are concerns but I’m not losing faith or condemning the players and coaches until given at least a full season.heavyD wrote: Fri Oct 03, 2025 9:47 am I don’t think Pete forgot to coach after one season off but the Raiders aren’t a finished product and I think he needs to be afforded more time before we can conclude that this was a bad hire.
