I see a staff and roster built on comfort and convenience. Pete brought in Geno because it was easy and didn’t take any ingenuity. Spytek and Pete brought in guys they know because it was convenient and easier than scouring league wide. Our organization took the lazy route this offseason, this is not how you build a championship team.
I don't see it as comfort and convenience. I think they did what they could to improve the team. I think they scoured league wide.I don't see it as a lazy route. They have a lot of cap space they didn't use though, but maybe it was smart to take a wait and see approach. Yes,they didn't try and build a championship in the preseason. But they made some good moves knowing it takes time to access the strengths and weeknesses in order to make the best possible changes.

The biggest issue is Geno / Kelly. That combo has been absolutely terrible. The team sucks but I am 100% against firing the coach or GM even if we go 1-16. We just cant keep firing people every season.

To name a few: Gino Smith. Jamal Adams. Thomas Booker. Laki Tasi's potential looks good.

Geno Smith was a great move from the Seattle perspective. Not so much from the Raiders side. He’s going to likely get benched soon and will carry 18 mil in dead cap space after we cut him. Simply awful. No other transactions moved the needle.

Geno blows. Terrible move. Booker is solid. Adams is ok.

If Geno was in Seattle with the O-line that is healthy and playing this year they would be undefeated. So, I disagree.

If Raiders bench Geno than that will prove the organization is just like the Jets and Panthers. Perpetual losers who continually move on from highly talented players.

This years draft class will improve and play more as the year progresses. We took 2 O-linemen in the draft that should hopefully be ready to play more soon.

Raiders will improve on their 4-13 season last year. Next year will be better than this year. It takes time. Rushing things is not good. Carrol still has at least 10 good years ahead of him.

They tried to sign him, Schneider said so publicly. Darnold was plan B.

Wow highly talented is not what most people would say about Smith right now or in the past 10 years

Honestly not a troll job at all. Just a conversation. You were asking questions and I was answering. No disrespect intended.

Whatever lol.... Pete will likely be around for most of his contract.

Emotionally driven thoughts want him hung right now

Logic dictates he has a past successful record so lets let him ride for a couple of seasons. He may fail....he may not

The "instant gratification" culture is screaming right now

Remember laughing at a certain poster (Random1234567) who said all coaches should only sign a 1 year contract? Everybody here correctly called him a fool and he was banned

Seems some here now believe the same theory lol.

Logic wins over emotion folks
