Fire Chip Kelly
Figured we can talk about the scheme that is wasting Jeanty, regressing Smith and frustrating the hell out of the fanbase. Not to mention Bech being wasted and a load of other issues.

I’m not sure the problem is Chip Kelly!
- Offensive line has been horrible
- Geno Smith experiment has failed
- he leads the league in Int and has looked lost less the
Less the 2 Brock Bowers games
- our WR is horrible - bech and Thornton have disappeared
The opposing D is putting a ton of people in the box taking away the run because they don’t respect our passing game.
Maybe Chip is the problem, but he’s not blocking or throwing passes. This is a guy that excelled at Ohio State - is it he game doesn’t translate to the pros or he doesn’t have the weapons.
Pete was a consolation prize when we didn’t get Johnson. It’s a bad prize. I see nothing that causes me to get excited about this team. Our special teams units have looked horrible all year! I’m not happy with nearly every decision Pete had made

At least we found the new White Shoes Johnson in a 33 year old running back.

They were not bad yesterday overall, Parham needs to go but the rest did the jobeastcoast128 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:13 am I’m not sure the problem is Chip Kelly!

No argument, but yesterday he was not the reason for the failure.- Geno Smith experiment has failed
cannot deny a fact, but that is also going to fall on the OC to get him prepared to do the job when you lose your star player- he leads the league in Int and has looked lost less the
2 Brock Bowers games
Thornton was inactive yesterday, Bech I believe was in there a couple plays in obvious blocking situations. Receiver is one of the tougher positions to translate to the next level so I am really not surprised either has started slowly- our WR room is horrible - bech and Thornton have disappeared
That did not happen yesterday, we largely took away their passing game and let them run wild on us. Did you see Etienne? The opposing D is putting a ton of people in the box taking away the run because they don’t respect our passing game.
He excelled with a loaded program. I hear this argument from time to time. No, he did not throw a pass or block anyone but it is his job to get the guys who do prepared and it is his job to call the plays that get the job done. The first half offense vs the second half offense were miles apart. He did not adjust his game plan in the first half when it was not working.Maybe Chip is the problem, but he’s not blocking or throwing passes. This is a guy that excelled at Ohio State - is it he game doesn’t translate to the pros or he doesn’t have the weapons.
We found out after the fact that his agent used the interview with Johnson as leverage for a better contract. He was never coming here. So we go Carroll. It happens. But us not getting Johnson is just the reality. We were never going to get him at all.Pete was a consolation prize when we didn’t get Johnson. It’s a bad prize. I see nothing that causes me to get excited about this team. Our special teams units have looked horrible all year! I’m not happy with nearly every decision Pete had made

When you consider the investment made in Jeanty, I don’t think Kelly’s offense is a good fit for maximizing his potential. Too many shotgun formations and not enough play action with the QB under center. When the highest paid OC in the NFL is producing and offense that rivals Luke Getsy, there’s a big problem.

At least we got him involved in the passing game yesterday. He should get at least 5 targets a game and there have been too many where he’s nowhere near that.heavyD wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:06 am When you consider the investment made in Jeanty, I don’t think Kelly’s offense is a good fit for maximizing his potential. Geno will 100% be back. Pete just grabbed a washed Lockett to try to prop Geno up. It's his hand picked ride or die qb. There may be some competition or a drafted qb brought in but Geno will be starting next year againheavyD wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 6:28 pm I’m a little worried that Kelly’s going to be the scapegoat and that they are going to bring Geno back next season as the starter in hopes that things are different under a better OC.

Given Carroll's advanced age.....could Chip be the heir apparent to Carroll's throne?

I really hope not. It is not just they way he is trying to use Geno who lacks the mental chops to succeed in his offense but how he refuses to work Jeanty into the offense.raiderjohn wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 6:57 am Given Carroll's advanced age.....could Chip be the heir apparent to Carroll's throne?

Unfortunately he’s looking like he’ll never shake being a “fit my system” guy. His way or nuthin’.ToastPatterson wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 9:24 am I really hope not. I wish they would stop pressuring him to call more run plays and just have him run whatever offense he is best at running. I dont like Chip Kelly and want him gone but dont pigeon hole the guy into having to run the ball more, then the defenses will know its coming and stack the box. His job is to put our players in the best position to succeed, and to make sure the players know what they are doing in his schemes.
