Fire Pete Carroll
I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

I don't hate Gruden. I didn't want him back. I still don't want him back. Can we please get a young, hungry coach that wants to prove himself???

I think it all started with the Gannon injury and then taking Jamarcus number 1 a few years after sealed our fate. Al went nuts the following 4 years and then we got stuck with someone whose own father didn’t even respect him. What a shitty run of events this all has been.

LoL-I remember how dilapitated things seemed to be following the 1997 season.LayneStaley wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:49 pm I think it all started with the Gannon injury and then taking Jamarcus number 1 a few years after sealed our fate. The NFL has passed "Pete" by. The coordinators were results of Bowl-Cut's tantrums.eastcoast128 wrote: Thu Dec 04, 2025 7:10 am Pete’s lack of command of his coaching staff, the firing of 2 coordinators in the last couple weeks and the overall lack preparedness speaks volumes.
I will respect Mark Davis when he falls on his sword.

And sticking with "that mofo" to no end.rcraider wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:16 pm Gruden regime is the reason the Raiders are in the predicament they are in. His draft picks were bad ? lol that's an understatement. Pissed away 3 years of draft picks, not to mention all the stupid trades that netted nothing.
Gruden 2.0 was soft in comparison,maybe due to the personell on the team

Yeah I do agree that Gruden was not the greatest at drafting players; not really sure if he was the blame for how team is now….now let say that Gruden pick; Josh Jacob was sign on to long term contracts with the Raiders and was our starting rb; then the raiders would not have the need to draft Jeanty and maybe use that pick on Guard or Tackle; or trade the pick for more picks; who knows….rcraider wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:16 pm Gruden regime is the reason the Raiders are in the predicament they are in. In the beginning; Mark Davis did the right thing and just let Reggie McKenzie run the raiders….Raiders were in a mess with hardly any draft pick and no money and Reggie slowly turned the team around…but after a few years Mark started getting more involved with the team and he actually got way more involved when the Raiders moved to Vegas because he actually had money to burn…LayneStaley wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:49 pm I think it all started with the Gannon injury and then taking Jamarcus number 1 a few years after sealed our fate. That pick should've never been used on Jeanty regardless. This team had no business drafting a rb in the top 10. For me it's not hindsight either as I pounded the table for oline and then dline before anything else. This team has had everything ass backwards for how many years now? Seems more than half of my life now as Im in my early 50sSuperRaider wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 2:13 am Yeah I do agree that Gruden was not the greatest at drafting players; not really sure if he was the blame for how team is now….now let say that Gruden pick; Josh Jacob was sign on to long term contracts with the Raiders and was our starting rb; then the raiders would not have the need to draft Jeanty and maybe use that pick on Guard or Tackle; or trade the pick for more picks; who knows….
And f[raiders_icon]ck Gruden too. He's the most overrated. 500 hc I ever seen that people swoon over. If he didn't have a personality, he'd be as irrelevant as Jeff Fisher. Sure he's entertaining on TV but he's about as average of a hc as you can ger

Really, you don't think that having 35 draft picks over 3 years which included 7 1st rounders, 3 2nd rounders, and 9 3rd roundersSuperRaider wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 2:13 am Yeah I do agree that Gruden was not the greatest at drafting players; not really sure if he was the blame for how team is now….now let say that Gruden pick; Josh Jacob was sign on to long term contracts with the Raiders and was our starting rb; then the raiders would not have the need to draft Jeanty and maybe use that pick on Guard or Tackle; or trade the pick for more picks; who knows….
and only Kolton Miller, (1st) Malcom Koonce (3rd), Max Crosby (4th)
remain on the roster, might be part of the reason this team sucks ?

you mean the criminal act that resulted from a decision he made that changed his life, took two lives and created an eternal void for an entire family?SuperRaider wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 1:28 pm Yeah Ruggs was a killer; he was just starting to open up and play like an all-pro for Gruden and then he had that accident that changed his life….think Gruden have took the team to playoffs that year if he was HC; I know the team still made the playoffs; but it would have been on Gruden watch……I know his draft pick were bad; but he found hidden gems like Darren Waller….the truth is; at least Gruden gave you a football game and the players did play hard for him; and look at Josh Jacob; Gruden drafted the guy for the raiders and he has been the best running back we had in a long time;

I mean, at the time it was surprising how many people dismissed this tragedy as a mere accident. He got off light simply because the police botched the evidence. It was also surprising how many guys wanted him to resume his career like nothing happened. He was going 156 miles per hour on a surface road with double the legal limit blood alcohol levels. While I do not want people denied the opportunity to work, the league suspended him indefinitely and that was the right decision. The league should send the message to its players, and that should be to deny any application he presents for reinstatement. Ruggs is a cautionary tale for the league's players and I hope they were listening.
