Fire Pete Carroll
I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

No, and in retrospect the reasoning for bringing Pete in to begin with was flawed and the absolute worst thing this team could do is replace Pete with another retread that brings "credibility."BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:33 am Continuity was never something to be expected with a 75 year old head coach though. The Raiders settled and didn't have a choice, which is why they had to give him full control. Hopefully the #1 pick, most cap space along with 2 foundational offensive pieces can attract a young offensive minded guy here.
This should be an attractive job for a younger coach provided the owner stays out of it.

a vast majority of teams cycle through coaches, and not just the bottom feeders.Toast wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:30 am Maybe so, but the consistent playoff teams have had continuity with their head coaches. The bottom feeders perpetually cycle through them.

Not the perennial playoff teams. You have them, and then you have the rest of the league trying to be like them.Attyla wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:42 am a vast majority of teams cycle through coaches, and not just the bottom feeders.

Haven't seen it mentioned, but it's time to move on from DC Graham. Let the new Head Coach pick his coordinators.

LoL, I bet you will be thanking him later. The night is darkest before dawn or some shit like that.
It looks like Northwestern hired Chip Kelly for those of you in the Chicago area.

Also mean to ask you this. Do you feel that Buffalo, Detroit and Washington should fire their head coaches after this season concludes?Attyla wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:42 am a vast majority of teams cycle through coaches, and not just the bottom feeders.

Don't ask me that question bc I absolutely believe they should. Esp Quinn and Campbell. Two of the most overrated coaches ever. Quinn is absolute garbage and Campbell is nothing but a rah rah blow hard. Decent at motivating, clueless at X & O.Toast wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:24 am Also mean to ask you this. That should be a big selling point to get young HC for this team; franchise QB is massiveBoKnows81 wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 7:33 am Continuity was never something to be expected with a 75 year old head coach though. Buffalo, no, although I think they should have done better during his tenure.Toast wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:24 am Also mean to ask you this. Do you feel that Buffalo, Detroit and Washington should fire their head coaches after this season concludes?
Detroit, maybe, but not just because of this season, I am not a real fan of rah rah coaches
Washington, probably not. Injuries hurt them, but I am also not one who thinks allowing injuries to be an excuse is valid

After QB i think Bowers & Jeanty will be huge selling points for any potential candidateBoKnows81 wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 8:33 am Correct. That's going to be the only selling point. The #1 pick. But there should be plenty of young offensive minded coaches that will want to work with a high character guy like Mendoza.
The OL might be a couple of pieces away from being atleast solid
Our WR/TE although not flashy outside of Bowers has some real potential & upside for any offensive minded coach
Klint Kubiak seems to be the guy on everyone's lips right now & our weapons really suit how he likes to run an offence, granted that OL need upgrading but i reckon Mendoza + OL help our offence could be sneakily good

I think out of our WR group that Bech is sliding under the radar. His hands seem to be close to Bowers. The guy catches everything and think he could be a really good weapon.CWood24 wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:38 am After QB i think Bowers & Jeanty will be huge selling points for any potential candidate

Yet somehow this coaching staff thought focusing on playing and developing Thornton ahead of him was the right moveOaktownonly wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:47 am I think out of our WR group that Bech is sliding under the radar. Not staff. Just one guy. Which is why needs to GO immediately after the Chiefs game.DanKD wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:55 am Yet somehow this coaching staff thought focusing on playing and developing Thornton ahead of him was the right move
