Spytek end of year conference
Honestly I question if he's the guy in charge. Who's in charge?
He took partial responsibility for the season and when asked direct hard questions, fumbled each one. Thoughts.

At 17:19 he says, he was in charge when a couple of good players left the building.
At the very least its final clarification of who was in charge of keeping players.
His confidence showed no chain of command other than what he took responsibility for.

I heard a guy unwilling to throw anyone under the bus, while also hoping to be allowed to do the job of GM from now on.

It is interesting that two people can hear the same interview and come away with entirely different conclusions
He took responsibility repeatedly. I don't know how you could conclude otherwise. He stated directly that the buck stopped with him. He did say he was in communication with Tom but he also said he did not just do what Tom said.

Fumbled a few times, got ultra personal with regards to what it was like to fail on the level we failed, but overall I thought it was insightful and lacked a lot of normal GM speak.DanKD wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 8:57 am For sure. I was impressed with his press conference personally.

Yeah I wouldnt say hes an amazing speaker. But he appears intelligent and self reflective and I get a good impression from him. I tend to appreciate that from a GM more than bravado.Attyla wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 9:00 am Fumbled a few times, got ultra personal with regards to what it was like to fail on the level we failed, but overall I thought it was insightful and lacked a lot of normal GM speak.

Honestly, my gm could get stage fright, stutter every single word or day dream after he's asked a question. As long as he's doing his duty and has the team winningKillerRaider30 wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 7:49 am Honestly I question if he's the guy in charge. Who's in charge?
