I be quite happy with Harbaugh coaching the raiders…
He be bringing his own OC and his own DC to Vegas and a possible chance; quite a few players from his team will be make their way to Vegas…

Yeah Dennis Allen did not really have a fair chance when he came to Oakland…Xramfan wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 12:07 am “Too green?”
Please remind me how many 1st and 2nd round draft picks Reggie and DA had the first two years?
How much money did they have in the cap to spend on FA?
I know they sucked but just trying to remember what they did with all those drafts picks and cap surplus for FA they had

Lamar's hammy had a huge role in it too. The fact they were able to fight to the end shows a lot.Rabidraider wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 2:22 pm He missed the division and playoff by a botched make-able FG. I guess they just want to go in another direction. Pittsburgh coach next when they lose?

Gets to play his brother twice a year would be fun. We are just too unstable for a PREMIUM coach I fear.SuperRaider wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 2:46 am I be quite happy with Harbaugh coaching the raiders…

I think he goes to the Giant though.

His kicker booted him to the curb. He makes that kick and Tomlins fired instead.DeathStar24 wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 4:24 am Lamar's hammy had a huge role in it too. The fact they were able to fight to the end shows a lot.

Fans are stupid.Goodtimes333 wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 8:21 pm I know it seems like Harbaugh has had the Ravens solid to good for a long time.. but their fan base is stoked he's fired. They've wanted this for years. They've been a very undisciplined team for a long time. They always find a way to choke and lose. The terrible Raider team last year beat them at home with Minshew. It seems their fan base is flabbergasted at how they always come up short, how many stupid penalties they commit year after year etc.
Harbaugh is a solid coach but he's not some star home run. He was a special team coach who needs a stud OC and DC. Pass

Ravens fans even watch their own team? He had zero kicks out of bounds. Besides the last kick, he only missed three others. All three of those were beyond 50 yards. Against New England it was from 56. He was also very good with the new kickoff rules where the average starting position for opponents was was the 24 yard line and he limited the number of kickoffs into the end zone quite well ranking third in the league for kickoffs returned.Goodtimes333 wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 9:22 pm Ravens fans say their kicker was shanking kicks and kicking off outta bounds all year. Same kicker who botched their playoff hopes. All at the helm of a special team coach savant HC. Harbaugh ain't it. That Ravens front office is where it's at, not Harbaugh
All in all, he had a great rookie season. If they are truly saying this, then they need to be fired as a fan base.

yeah it's tough, I can see both sides, he's been around the league for over 27 years, he's not an offensive mind, he was a special Team's coach, I can understand why someone wants an offensive mind with Mendoza coming here and needing to be developed and put into the best situation possible. But obviously Jim is a proven leader of men, but the league is changing and has he gotten the very best out of Lamar ? I dont know, but I hate to grab someone just because we've had so much dysfunction the last 25 years, and just because Jim would be stable solid head coach, but would he be the best head coach for our situation with selecting Mendoza with the first overall pick ?haji81872 wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 6:50 am Raider fans turning up their nose at John Harbaugh is some funny shit.

This is a fair question. But does he really need to be hands on coaching the rookie Qb? Wouldn’t a good Qb coach be more advisable?RaiderFan1 wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 7:13 am yeah it's tough, I can see both sides, he's been around the league for over 27 years, he's not an offensive mind, he was a special Team's coach, I can understand why someone wants an offensive mind with Mendoza coming here and needing to be developed and put into the best situation possible. I personally think he would be a good leader but don’t think it’ll be an option. He’s not coming by his own decision is my guess.

Harbaugh. Great coach. But it doesn't mean he's right for this team. And in my opinion, he's not.

I'd be happy with Harbaugh because his resume speaks for itself, but certainly isn't my preference. I want LaFleur.
