Spytek end of year conference
Honestly I question if he's the guy in charge. Who's in charge?
He took partial responsibility for the season and when asked direct hard questions, fumbled each one. Thoughts.

Thats so great.....now if he can just go longer than a season and half without firing everybody maybe the drafts will make sense and something can begin to growRaidernation1979 wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 4:29 pm Hold up. Honest question, did any of the 12 month/18 month coaches that were fired deserve to have more time?

Great question and I would say that needs to be picked apart on a case by case basis.RickRyb wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 10:49 pm Honest question, did any of the 12 month/18 month coaches that were fired deserve to have more time?
Unfortunately I was not part of any of their interviews and meetings to get a feel if there was a detailed plan that included short term, mid term and long term goals.
Pete had a great resume and I believed he could bring something positive and build something at least better than what we've had in decades. But apparently nobody was on the same page regarding developing young players, FA QBs and other personal. Was there ever a discussion about hiring his own sons in prominent roles? I dont know but it sure ended badly.
I think we can all agree that drafting for one coach every year and half or so is most detrimental to grooming and building a team as every coach will have differing visions on what they want. Out with the old in with the new endless cycle.

If we hired Webb we wouldn't have to worry about him hiring his son (if he has one).Xramfan wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 11:47 am Great question and I would say that needs to be picked apart on a case by case basis.

If the things that were reported going on this year were going on with prior coaches, I think it's fair to say they all should have had more time...................... except McDickhead.

Mike may be the weirdest head coach in league history. But as an OC he has his meritsDr Death wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 2:51 pm If the things that were reported going on this year were going on with prior coaches, I think it's fair to say they all should have had more time...................... except McDickhead.![]()
