Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Funny enough, 2016, the Milquetoast Mambas’ best year, was the last year the Raiders spent more on the Defensive side of the ball than the Offensive. After that the Raiders Brass made the catastrophic mistake of listening to that yellow-bellied snake oil simp.

The Ravens have 35 ish million in cap space with Linderbaum, Likely, Gillman & one of their main dtackles as key free agents. I'd love to snag Linderbaum but the Ravens are in talks to push cap down the road through Lamar Jackson's contract to free up space. Unfortunately I don't see the Raiders getting Linderbaum because of it

Linderbaum
Devin Lloyd
Think I’m content if those two sign. Not sure I want a 3rd big contract. Keyword, big. Anything else can be addressed in the draft or FAs on smaller contracts. I imagine a good OL coach is going to do wonders in and of itself. We can address the DL with our second or use our other draft capital + the second to move back into the 1st round.

Flacco’s old ass would be perfect…A winner,a good dude, and a perfect guy for Mendoza to be around everyday to see how a true pro handles his daily routine.

Looking at the list I just posted, I see why no Raiders were on CBS’s top 50 FA’s. I would say our most attractive signee is Daniel Carlson

Koonce (at a lower rate) to see if he goes back to pre injury.
Mostert (played well and a solid vet)
Carlson
Booker
The rest can walk.

I think Stokes would be a good candidate to bring back.
Mostert.... meh, I guess if no young RB steps up it's good to have a vet on the roster as potential backup but it's minimum salary or see ya.

I would easily get rid of laube, bring in a mid round player and keep mostert. Stokes wouldn’t be bad either. Missed that one. Overall though that’s a very bad list of players.chucker wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:53 am I think Stokes would be a good candidate to bring back.

Obviously the money matters, however, I could see us sign. Stars next to who I think we should sign HolmesRunOverByHubbard wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:29 am Key Raiders 2026 Free Agents (Unrestricted/Expiring):

Parnham*
No clue if we will or even should, these are just possibilities as I see it. I think We keep one of the vet LB's. I chose Adams. Keep our kicking unit together. Keep one of Parnham or Meredith, I went with Parnham, maybe both. Booker? Maybe because we traded for him we keep him around? Original round tender would only be 3.7 million for one year. Might keep one of Kelly, Holmes or Johnson for the secondary. I like Johnson and think he can make an impact, the other two are JAG's.

Well we won't have to burn much cap space signing any of that lot backRunOverByHubbard wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:31 am Looking at the list I just posted, I see why no Raiders were on CBS’s top 50 FA’s. I would say our most attractive signee is Daniel Carlson

I would resign Booker and maybe Adams and Carlson. But as discussed here, kickers have become more replaceable than perhaps any position -- yet when they miss a key kick, you wish you had better. Carlson may have peaked and can move on -- don't know for sure. Koonce barely showed anything even given his first year back from major knee surgery. I think we can do better. The money we save from moving on from Carlson is best spent on a FA for the O-Line or D-line.
An interesting case is Devin White. He made an insane amount of tackles this year (174) but was rated VERY poorly on pass defense. I think we can do better but our young LBs have to start coming through.

I would have it known to Linderrbaum's agent, don't sign before FA and we'll make you the highest C ever.Dr Death wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:53 pm If Linderbaum is available, he must be signed. If we can pay multiple coaches that are no longer here, surely we can afford a superior O line player.
