at this point, it seems like a win-win whether he stays or goes, so... I am free of concern regardless of what is decided.

Did it piss him off initially? Absolutely it did...did he act out a bit in a social forum and atmosphere that he grew up in that a lot of us don't altogether understand or appreciate....yeah. But there's no way that's the reason he's done with us, which is what the media propaganda machine wants us Raider fans to believe. I can get behind that he might finally be tired of losing, constant change, instability in chain of command, a well intentioned owner that has no business making any decisions regarding the direction of this team,(maybe he has finally got out of his own way). And if that's the case that he wants to win so bad and doesn't believe he has the years left in him to contribute his best while we make that transition than I respect it. But for someone who adores Jordan and Kobe as much as he does I just don't think he's gonna force a trade when it would be that much more satisfying to him to stay the course and be an absolute Legend of this franchise and instead of chasing that dream he could be a part of leading it. But if he goes somewhere else for me anyways nothing but respect and love for Mad Maxx.
Hahaha, come on man. We don’t altogether understand or appreciate social media?

“THE MEDIA PROPAGANDA MACHINE!!!” It’s coming to brainwash all us Raider fans. NOOOOOooooooooo!!! (Joking…kind of.)

Jordan, great. The GOAT. Became a Champion when he finally learned to trust his teammates and allow the Bulls to be a TEAM. Kobe (who I liked. I’m a Laker fan), could have had 2, 3, maybe even 4 more Championships if that stupid “Mamba” horseshit didn’t have him constantly headbutting with Shaq. He could have matched and even surpassed his hero Jordan and all he had to do was be a good teammate. Cur was a f’n “mamba” tool. Maxx plays that skin flute too. All that mamba shit boils-down to is hyper-inflated self-absorbed asshole.

Nobodies misunderstanding shit. He got on social media and behaved like a f[raiders_icon]cking petulant child. He put himself before the team. Doesn’t matter if he hated his bosses. He’s done other look-at-me stupid shit, but that basketball bullshit would make him a mandatory trade if I was coming on board to turn a shitshow moribund franchise around.

And yeah, good luck to ya Maxx.

I think he means you have it backwards in terms of who made the decision to sit Maxx. I suspect Carroll wanted him to play, and Spytek made the decision to put him on IR. Given that it was a meniscus repair (more than a trim), I think it's objectively true that it was the right decision for the team and also for Maxx, even if Maxx didn't like it.

I don't think even with him on board we'd have beat the Giants. We sucked at all levels in that game

But let's just say he had played like a man possessed and we had won, that would mean not only no Mendoza, but also no Kubiak, arguably the best first time HC candidate available this cycle. No way he comes without a clear path to a young QB. We'd be rolling with Geno and either a Pete redux or someone like Todd Monken or Vance Joseph at HC.

Yep...all the reports I saw state that Pete advocates for him to keep playing while Spytek called for him to sit. Of course Pete also trotted a one legged Bowers out there for a couple of weeks so f[raiders_icon]ck Pete

Corleone wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 2:38 pm Who's to say it's Brady leaking this info? Maxx's agent could let it be known that he's relayed that info to Brady, could come from other sources besides Brady, although Brady could have also told someone he trusts, and maybe that person isn't as trustworthy as Brady thought?

Here's the thing, if it was just JLC, I'd probably agree that it's a buncha BS, but there's a whole lot of smoke here (Glazer, Schefter, Rapsheet, Tits Russini, JLC etc), and among all of Maxx's comments, he hasn't denied that he wants out.
Fair. Only thing I’d say is The content of these reports is generally far more tepid than the headline. Most acknowledge it’s still entirely possible he’s not traded, I think Rapoport actually reported we’re in a great place and if there’s a godfather like offer, maybe we trade him.

I would also think, if Maxx wants out as badly as some of these reports suggest… it makes no sense for him not to formally request a trade and apply some pressure. Playing it quiet does nothing for him except allow us to drag our feet

Crosby has given the Raiders everything he has since his first game. He’s at the point where he can see the finish line on the horizon and I completely understand if he wants a real shot and doesn’t want to go through a longer process with a last place team. Don’t blame him at all if that’s the case.

I’d now be surprised if he’s on our roster on opening day.

The top teams in the AFC were shit compared to the NFC and the disparity between the top and bottom teams in the AFC is not that great. I don't believe we are as far off from competing as some think.

I found it odd that the comments about Maxx by Klint and Mark were kinda vague and sounded like simple posturing to me...neither of them committed either way about whether Crosby was going to remain a Raider or whether he was going to be traded.

Sounded like they were noncommittal by design...just my 2 cents.

Yep. It's bc we finally have smart people in the building who know that the best move for the team is to trade Maxx. I know that's hard for the Maxx lovers to accept but it is what it is.

I'm not sweating this at all. The truth is in the building not the rumors. If he truly wants out, I'm sure the team will not beat around the bush and trade him, and if he doesn't, he will remain a Raider. It's really that simple as Crosby is by far the best defensive player on the team and the the brain trust owes it to Mendoza to at least ensure that he has a defense that can at times get off the field so he's not forced into playing from behind all the time.
