Klint Kubiak - Officially Head Coach
Figured it is best to start a new official thread around Kubiak being our HC as the other one was built up so much around the search. His introduction presser is at 11 PST today.

Why are we even talking about Aidan O'Connell like he matters? He's gonna be our #3 QB or will be on another team.

Because some think that Maxx not being at the intro for Kubiak means he is being traded but him being in the building that morning and spending time with Kubiak talking about football means nothing.BoKnows81 wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 3:54 am Why are we even talking about Aidan O'Connell like he matters? We could well be talking about the team doctor not being at the intro or the ball boys or any number of people who did not attend.

The fact that Maxx has been mum about the Kubiak hiring means something, IMO. I mean Maxx has been whining about "other people speaking for him" recently, and while he has had plenty of opportunities to actually speak his mind, he has chosen not to do so.
Being at the presser to show support is not the same thing as supposedly sharing "a quick coffee" earlier.

He actually said he is not talking about stuff right now period. And that goes back to before Kubiak got hired. He kind of implied that his talking and his pushing for Pierce to get hired blew up in his face so he is ducking all topics as a result.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 5:16 am The fact that Maxx has been mum about the Kubiak hiring means something, IMO. Perhaps, but Maxx was actually at PC's presser last year. And his comments/support for Pierce were before AP was let go...and Maxx had the opportunity to show support at the presser after the Kubiak hire was made...just doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, he was. I have no problem with him attending or not. but his "shutting down" is a recent decision, so his past actions and comments do not play into what he is doing now. What he has decided recently is where he is currently. So him not wanting to be a distraction during the press conference is a choice. I actually agree with that motivation. It was Klint's moment and him not being there was a positive in my mind.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 5:24 am Perhaps, but Maxx was actually at PC's presser last year. Maxx not speaking about Kubiak is a non story… he said on Colin Cowherd talking to much about coaches and other team decisions got him in trouble in the past so now he is keeping his comments to himself or at least not to the media

Pretty sure it was more about threatening to demand a trade if Mark didn't hire AP.nmonte374 wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 6:08 am Maxx not speaking about Kubiak is a non story… he said on Colin Cowherd talking to much about coaches and other team decisions got him in trouble in the past so now he is keeping his comments to himself or at least not to the media

I like Klint didn’t come out and say we were gonna go win a bunch of games next year. He knows this is gonna take time, and he was assuredly told that he has that time to right the ship. He spoke well and comes across as even keel and knowledgeable knowing there is work to be done. Business like and exactly what we need.

Did Max not add sliced bananas on his cereal yesterday morning? That is pretty telling if so..........makes one wonder

Finally got to listen. He did a great job. When asked about the recent coaching fires I liked the fact he said “gotta earn the right to keep coaching”. Also non committal on many things and has to go to the tape. Didn’t really hype anyone up and kept it very business.

People are going to wonder. He has brought this upon himself.
