The top teams in the AFC were shit compared to the NFC and the disparity between the top and bottom teams in the AFC is not that great. I don't believe we are as far off from competing as some think.

Nobody thought Washington would eat shit and have a top 10 pick this year. The Bears, Pats and Jaguars flipped quick. The Jags went from shit to playoffs, back to shit and back to playoffs. The Raiders had horrific offensive scheme with hardly a plan with poor QB play, minimal talent on defense with an antique scheme and they were a nut hair away from beating the Bears & Jaguars. They had Houston worried. They beat the Pats.

I watched Seattle open up the pre season against the Raiders and their offense looked great. Prepared, with a vast difference from the year before in the running game. I thought maybe it was just the Raiders being soft but the Seahawks offense kept that up from pre season into the regular season. This tells me Kubiak is good at getting his system up and running. He can get immediate positive results. The Raiders offense is not as bad as what we saw last year. The line is not as bad as last year showed us. (Doesn't mean a few upgrades aren't necessary) For f[raiders_icon]ck sakes they had to meet up after practice to come up with a plan themselves! That's insane! Jeanty got 1000 yards essentially with that clusterfuck. Dude is legit.

Defensively were still looking at what the scheme/coach is going to be. Defense is worse off than the offense talent wise. Linebacker & corner needs a complete overhaul. (Stokes as an FA means he's unaccounted in that). Pola Mao and Chinn are both strong safety's, so an actual free safety is needed. Dtackle is soft, edge opposite Crosby is soft. 2 linebackers, 2 corners, 1 free safety, 1 Dtackle, 1 edge are mandatory IMO. That doesn't account for depth but I think some solid depth pieces are already in place with starters from this year. The team isn't that far off from really competing if they nail FA and the draft. If Mendoza proves to be worthy of the #1 pick that really moves the needle up on being able to compete

You can’t blame any of these players for being fed up. I’m sure Maxx feels like he’s living in Groundhogs Day. With that said I’m just as sick as everyone else always seeing some cryptic Maxx story. If Dal or LAR wanna make a deal before the draft I think it’s probably worth it.

I agree which is why he was sort of thrown in. Not sure we would try to get him, more so Eagles just paying us to offload him.
