If Ioane drops, him.

Certainly, I would also consider it for Howell, Blake Miller, Faulk and Lomu.

All of them can get run to the lower part of the first or even the top of the second depending on if a position gets a rush above their projected draft point.

Love Blake Miller and Faulk. I think we will see a run on edge rushers early.

Howell is a bit undersized but his motor is killer. Add 20LBs of muscle and he kills it at the next level. But yea, Miller and Faulk probably don't drop but if they are sitting their around 28 or so, I start calling teams.

Since there’s a media contingent that does not believe in Mendoza, I just want to say this:

Mendoza not succeeding is not an excuse to be abysmal. I’ve watched the 49ers pivot from the Trey Lance failure. We can do the exact same if Mendoza is just awful.

Btw, I like Mendoza and I think he will be good in the NFL.

I really like this evaluation. It's important to set realistic expectations for any rookie QB. Teams are going to find and be able to exploit his weaknesses until he overcomes them. Carr had exactly that problem. Once he got figured out, he wasn't able to get over that hump. There's no doubt Mendoza's gong to struggle, so rather than expecting him to swoop in and start winning right away, he needs to be given every opportunity to get better and succeed.

I really like the way JT looks at it. He loves QB play, but he's dispassionate in his analysis. It's just about what he sees and, while he makes more money for clicks, he's not saying shit just to get clicks.

100% agree. If Doza is a bust, I would be surprised if this is the case, or if he tears up a knee, we know have a coach who has worked with several QBs in very effective offenses that included busts at the position.

With Kubiak if Fernando does need to sit and learn then Klint can plug in another QB and be successful. His track record demonstrates this.

It will be the same for the RB position.

Kubiak coaches a whole team concept that appears to Mirror Cignetti. Including the same stoic demeanor with no hyperbole.
