12 and next years first would be better than 12 and 20. The upside potential of next years first being a top 10 pick is worth taking the risk that they make the playoffs and that pick is in the 20s. Even when they do make the playoffs, they have typically been one and done. Next years class is also loaded with qbs, which might push other elite prospects lower in the 1st than would otherwise happen.LayneStaley wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 5:02 pm
IF this is true I’d be surprised we didn’t take 12/20 and the cap space and be done.

I mean that seems like a pretty generous offer. If we get more, somebody better write Jerry a nice thank you card or something. He’s almost directly responsible for getting us Mendoza as isLayneStaley wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 6:26 pm Supposedly Cowboys already offered 12/20 this year but we want a player too. Not saying I believe it but if there’s truly a bidding war going on who knows.

12 and 20 would be outstanding.

IF they get 12 and 20 they would be smart to package some kind of deal on one of these picks for a 1st next year with a retuning (2nd,3rd) pick this year.
That seems odd they would trade both those picks though.

Agreed. If they’re sending us two, I’d think it’d be almost assumed one is a 2027 and perhaps the negotiating point is whether this years is the 12 or the 20.
Two 2026 1sts would, at least by draft value charts… actually represent them giving up more for Maxx than what they got for Micah. My understanding is that a future first is valued more comparable to a current 2nd.

I refute the idea that Parsons is better than Crosby & thus compensation should be less. It's a shallow argument. Objectively speaking, from a big picture view Maxx Crosby is the better player. 1st down to 3rd down, 1st quarter to last quarter. Game 1 to 17 Maxx is the better player today. The age difference I give no f[raiders_icon]cks. Parsons has had two season ending injuries. Maxx has had none. It's two firsts and a good player or f[raiders_icon]ck off

I like that haul for Trent Duffie.
I’m good with two firsts plus from either.
Love you, Maxx.
Hope you have success individually but you win no rings with LAR and DAL because I will never pull for those teams to win.

I think the Cowboys may already know they are getting Max. Why would they let a solid and versatile player like Hoffman go. We should be all over him. He can play center and both guard positions. Cowboy fans are bummed that he is gone.
