Fair thee well Maxx. Thanks for everything you gave your heart and soul to this team and you deserve now in the later stages of your career a chance for a SB. Bitter sweet as I'm happy for Maxx and our organization as well. If he had been two years younger and not insisting on playing the snaps he did I wouldn't want to trade him. Now it makes sense as it gives him a shot at winning a SB with a team that is in win now mode and it helps us to hopefully rebuild this thing right.

Maholmes does the same thing. It’s okay to buy time if you’re able to make a defense pay over and over again.Goodtimes333 wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:41 pm He wouldnt know what to do with a top receiver even if they could get one. Which they can't. He cannot play within structure or rhythm of an offense. He hangs onto the ball. They're going to lose Likely and Linderbaum. New OC and an unproven play caller OC. I do believe their defense will be very good. If injuries hit they're pretty well f[raiders_icon]cked for a team wanting to compete big
His injury history is the only weakness to his game.

Found this interesting. I looked at the QBs who at any point in their career were the rushing leaders at the QB position for a season. Then I looked at which of those names won a Super Bowl. There were 3.
Steve Young, Russell Wilson, and Jalen Hurts.
Good luck Maxx, but I don’t see you winning a Super Bowl in Balt either.

Not going to fluff it up and say he wasn’t a great player..he was for us.played as hard as anyone I have seen and never had any help in the other side.
But I am so glad he is gone..I’m old I guess, but hate the podcasts and the constant shit. He is the type that says “I’m all about the team and winning”,but he says it so much it makes it about him.
Ravens have a ton of holes and I’d have to think if I was going to bet it will end up a middle of the round pick as of today.

Thank you for your service Maxx. Hands down my favorite Raider of the last decade and one of the few “modern” day players worthy of being talked about in the company of the Raiders legends of old.
The compensation is good thought provided they nail it. Spytek has to hit home runs on 3 out of 4 first rounders. And he has to use that cap money wisely

Inevitable and much needed from a Raiders perspective….good luck Maxx!
Although he still needs to pass a medical test, right?

Goes with our blessing - thanks for the memories Maxx!
Now the ammunition is firmly in place for the much needed rebuild to commence and place those strong foundations this offseason to eventually compete back at the top once more.
Don’t blow this opportunity Raiders!!!

Reading through the posts from the previous 5-6 pages since we got the news last night...interesting stuff.
Wonder how much longer this thread will stay near the top of the main page...or if it will be eventually locked?

....supposedly, Brady's buddy Guerrero makes a consistent nuisance of himself, and rubbed Maxx, and others, wrong, but I have no idea how real that is. ....and if there is anything to it, I would hope he can be flushed by the new management....Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 7:50 pm It will be interesting to see if anyone spills some piping hot tea on the backstory. Did the IR saga fracture the relationship? Did Crosby request the trade or did Spytek want to move on?

That's a great return....... that's effectively significantly more than the Cowboys got for Parsons. The difference between the first round picks is about the value of a third rounder - plus the Raiders get to use the first pick before they have to play a game and the Cowboys had to wait a full season.
We need to get the picks right, but Spytek played this really well. It seems he never set a price, let the media frenzy swirl, and let teams bid against each other and against themselves until he got what he wanted.
Now we have to use the picks well and there are no guarantees, even if everyone loves the pick on draft day.

I was scared we would of ended up with Chicago's pick #25 and a bag of Cheerios.
I was thinking Dallas 12 or Rams 13 to start, so #14 is just freaking great.
A side play all the coming season will be rooting for Baltimore to suck...
