Been down the short arms road, with bad results. Why revisit?Rabidraider wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:25 pm If short arms Fano falls, and you have a choice between Fano and loane, what would you guys prefer?

Lol. At least he turned out to be a good guard for us.

I cant see center.
Having a rook QB taking snaps from a rook center? 2 rooks trying to identify defenses, change protections and plays?
Seattle won the SB with a 1st year center but they had a vet QB.
I Cant see center at 14.
Gaurd? Sure. RT? Yea.
Center? Nooo.

Glaze can be depth at tackle or get in line for competition at guard. We can't go into a season again thinking he's the guy at any position. He might do better with better coaching but Mendoza is too valuable to count on that.

Short arms for a tackle but fine as a guard. That 's why some saying he could drop. I still think he goes higher than 14.raider_kin wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 3:32 pm Been down the short arms road, with bad results. Why revisit?

Yes but, not good value for where he was picked.

We all love Madden and rightfully so. But IMO the greatest football coach of all time is Lombardi, its not even close.

He also talked about it several documentaries. One was in the Vince Lombardi: A Football Life where Madden went to a seminar on coaching and Lombardi talked for eight hours. About
The Packers Sweep.
4 hours, break for lunch. 4 Hours, finished.
On single play for eight hours.
Madden walked out thinking. "I don't know a damn thing."

...it's funny, I grew up on these and I've seen these so many times that I am reciting it just before he says it.....and who could ever forget the voice from Philly, John facenda.... ''now that's a horse I can ride', when he would get a script he'd like....

The Voice of God himself. I'd pay to hear that man speak aloud number from a phone book.WNYRAIDER wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 5:02 pm ...it's funny, I grew up on these and I've seen these so many times that I am reciting it just before he says it.....and could ever forget the voice from Philly, John facenda.... Queue the NFL Films Super Bowl XVIII to the tune of Classic Battle by Sam Spence.
"At the heart of this darkness was the Raiders defense. They had stripped the Redskins of their most trusted weapons and sacked Joe Theismann six times.
Nothing on Earth that blocked or tackled or passed or ran could have stopped the Raiders on Black Sunday."

....had I thought about it at the time, I would have tried to devise some hair-brained scheme to get John facenda to record my 'leave a message' message for me.....
