Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

So our biggest needs now are RT, NT and FS

Good news is you can get a NT and a safety for relatively cheap in comparison to other spots. Lots of draft picks. Shaping up to be able to go best player available IMO. Two nose tackles are probably needed. Another back with Jeanty. A couple more oline guys for competition/depth. The off-season is shaping up nicely

If Hendrickson had signed with another team Monday than Crosby would be a Raven right now

Matt Gay is solid as long as coach is smart and keeps his range in mind when making decisions. His fg% was bad last year because his coach forgot he doesn't have 50+ range

Having a kicker who struggles with 50+ field goals in today's NFL is going to cost you games ---period!DanKD wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:36 am Matt Gay is solid as long as coach is smart and keeps his range in mind when making decisions. In most cases analytics say to go for it in those situations anyway.Rdrfan1964 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:41 am Having a kicker who struggles with 50+ field goals in today's NFL is going to cost you games ---period!

The Raiders can draft a kicker to compete. They have a slew of picks. There's enough cap to shore up a few more spots also

Wyatt Teller is still out there at Guard, with number 14 gone maybe we check in with him.

I seem to be alone in this but after signing linderbaum I'm ok with our guard situation. I think between JPJ, Rogers, Meredith and Glaze the two best (likely Rogers and jpj) will be solid. We have no starter worthy RT

100% agree.DanKD wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:34 am If Hendrickson had signed with another team Monday than Crosby would be a Raven right now
The quickness to get Hendrickson to agree on a deal, should get the league to step in and strip them of a 1st and 3rd round picks this year. Crosby's surgery was out there 100%. It was a months recovery everyone knew that.

...you're hardly alone in this, and I am surprised so many are still seeing guard as a need over tackle, with millers health and inability to get through a year, and a bigger ? at rt.

I agree. It would be nice to have a true vet for guard competition and depth at a cheap price, but adding a pricey guard seems like a bad call right now. RT is an issue, as we just have no clue if Grant could play there and Glaze looked pretty bad last year.DanKD wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:56 am I seem to be alone in this but after signing linderbaum I'm ok with our guard situation.
