Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Since 2019 not one of our Big Contract Signings have worked out.
-Trent Brown
-Corey Littleton
-Chandler Jones
-Christian Wilkins
-Jimmy Garafalo
These were obviously Grudock, Zeigler, Kelly and Telesco. Definitely have more faith on Spytek and believe this is a great group he brought in.
That being sad if this FA Class bombs I won’t find a new team, I just won’t watch the abomination that Goodell created.

I don't blame Telesco for Wilkins, nobody saw that one coming, just like nobody saw Ruggs happening.islandboy wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2026 5:39 pm Since 2019 not one of our Big Contract Signings a worked out.

The reality of FA is that a lot of FAs don't work out, even if they don't have red flags. The 2025 Patriots were the exception, not the rule. If 2/3 of our FA signings are relatively successful, that's a good FA effort. The biggest one for us is obviously Linderbaum because of the money, and because the success of the rest of the oline is so dependent on the center as an effective leader of that unit.

We were all excited for Wilkins but honestly there should have been more trepidation given his history and getting a fat contract. Chandler Jones was one I think was more difficult to see coming.raider_kin wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 7:08 am I don't blame Telesco for Wilkins, nobody saw that one coming, just like nobody saw Ruggs happening.

With Wilkins and Jones they both seem to have some mental issues. No one has shown any interest in either of them since the Raiders released them.DanKD wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 8:15 am We were all excited for Wilkins but honestly there should have been more trepidation given his history and getting a fat contract. Hope they both were able to get their heads straight. Maybe they both have and said screw football, I have enough money to live the rest of their lives and that is what they are doing.
