I've never seen 63 say anything negative about Crosby. Being in favor of the rebuild doesnt have to mean we hate Maxx. And honestly, if the Raiders could still somehow get the Cowboys to give a 1st & 2nd, they should take the deal immediately.Attyla wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:11 am I think, based on your dislike for Crosby, that is more projection than anything.

More than a few times he has expressed dislike for the aftermath at the end of the season. I was not being insulting, merely observing based on previous comments. And trading Maxx was not what he was suggesting. He was saying once Maxx's current deal is done that we will not have his next contract. As for trading Maxx, I think that ship has sailed. All indications are that neither Maxx nor the Raiders have any interest in a trade. That of course can change and we have seen that happen to high profile players multiple times but as of right now, I think there is no desire for a move. I also think if the Cowboys were still interested in a deal, that offer would come during the draft. I doubt the Raiders would be interested in number 12 this year and a 2nd in 2027 since I do not believe the Cowboys have a second this year.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:20 am I've never seen 63 say anything negative about Crosby. All just my opinions but that is the name of the game.

No, and I don't dislike Crosby, and yes, I was also considering that I think there's still a 50/50 chance he's traded.Attyla wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:11 am I think, based on your dislike for Crosby, that is more projection than anything.

You did say his actions constituted insubordination and suggested that some form of severe punishment was in order, alluding to the military during those posts. That was you correct? And the post I replied to had nothing to do with a trade, it was simply a statement that his next contract would be elsewhere. Again, I was not intending to be insulting, but your posting history with regards to Crosby have not been positive in any way shape or form so me viewing your comment as projection was reasonable.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:41 am No, and I don't dislike Crosby, and yes, I was also considering that I think there's still a 50/50 chance he's traded.

I haven't seen anyone "hating" on Crosby." In fact it's generally been accepted here that Maxx has been the team leader and en elite pass rusher while here, one of our few bright spots. It's been a matter of extracting value on a perishable skillset as this team rebuilds. I think the forum would be unanimously against most trade scenarios if this team was in contention for the division.
At the end of the day this is a discussion forum and most have no agenda. We are all here for the same reason-to talk Raider's football. The good the bad and the ugly.
There is a difference between being critical of a player and hating the player.

I really don't recall saying what you alluded to about Maxx, though I suppose it is possible...and though I realize that he is a force to be reckoned with on the field, I was disappointed in some of his drama and his actions and his words but I don't dislike him.Attyla wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:52 am You did say his actions constituted insubordination and suggested that some form of severe punishment was in order, alluding to the military during those posts. The Raiders are obviously better on defense with him than without him, but on the flip side considering we're in the rebuild mode, having $30Mil more in cap money as well as more early round draft picks to assist us in the rebuild is attractive too.
But no, again, I don't dislike Maxx...and maybe I could have been a bit clearer with my earlier post.

Its all about the front of the uniform and not the back. If you can get valuable picks, you have to jump on it (especially a rebuilding team). Its huge having a bunch of pups starting who are on rookie contracts. The gift do not stop there. This does not take into account the cap space reallocation. Can you imagine signing the top FA next season with Max's money. Its a win win.

If he is an elite pass rusher, then what do we call the actual elite pass rushers?Toast wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 9:57 am I haven't seen anyone "hating" on Crosby." Hope there's not now gonna be a debate on what "elite" means, or perhaps different levels of "eliteness"?
That would possibly lead to yet another thread being "locked".
