Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

Before his injury he wasn't that good. I want no part of him nowHellbound wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 10:24 am He's washed. Not sure what people are seeing in him. You're still going to need to invest in another rb. Especially since he's coming off an achilles injury. Is there really any difference between him and Zamir? Both are plodders and avg under 4 yds a carry

Reports are Jimmy G is unlikely to return to the Rams. Rams also announced letting go of six staff members whose primary responsibility was keeping Mrs. Stafford away from Jimmy.

Did Dexter Lawrence really just ask for a trade? Good god I did not see that happening. Not sure what to think about that, Would NYG really trade him?

The Giants have supposedly been dragging their feet in contract negotiations and this is agent tactic to escalate discussions.BotesBoats wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 10:00 am Did Dexter Lawrence really just ask for a trade? Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that begins Tuesday, league sources tell ESPN. Sources indicated Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources. Initially there had been optimism that, with changes in the organization, discussions could move forward. But now that they haven’t, new Giants head coach John Harbaugh will open his team’s off-season program this week without one of his best players.

I can not wait to see baby Ironhead. I think he is going to be a fan favorite. He is a perfect fit for Klint's system.

It would have to involve Crosby for the cap considerations. That would also get Paye unblocked.

Giants hosted free agent DL DJ Reader for a visit on Monday.
Reader visited with the Ravens last week and is now meeting with the Giants. The veteran lineman has spent the last two seasons with the Lions, totaling 51 tackles, three sacks, and four TFLs while starting all 32 games he appeared in.

why havnt the raiders kicked the tires on this guy ...fills a huge need, yes he is older but still playing at a high level and we dont need him to be a 3 down guy

I don’t understand it either. I’m pretty pissed they weren’t in on the DTs in FA. Even if they got one, heck two, they still would have needed to draft one high in this draft. As of right now, they two really good talents at DT in the draft. Reader would still be needed as a good quality starting DT for the rotation. For them to learn from &, to have a good floor in case they’re not so good as rookies.mstrbass2000 wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 8:02 am Giants hosted free agent DL DJ Reader for a visit on Monday.

dj reeder with someone like hunter (draft) would form a massive wall against any running game and hunter has some pass rushing upside to go with butlerMexicanHulk wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 10:57 am I don’t understand it either.
