2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

ESPN’s Matt Miller believes the Raiders might use the No. 36 overall pick on “a wide receiver or a right tackle, depending on who’s available.”
Miller says the Raiders’ No. 1 overall pick will be Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza. The Raiders will then use their early-season-round pick to “support” their rookie quarterback. He notes that Washington WR Denzel Boston has been “connected” to the Raiders already. Miller’s colleague, Ryan McFadden chimes in to say that reuniting Mendoza with Indiana WR Elijah Sarratt “would also be ideal.”
I can't see them reaching for Sarratt at 36

Sarratt, to me, is similar to Bech. Both being bigger, slower possession type wrs. We don't need another BechBoKnows81 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 1:42 pm ESPN’s Matt Miller believes the Raiders might use the No. 36 overall pick on “a wide receiver or a right tackle, depending on who’s available.”

Yea I favor Mendoza having the familiarity but rather have Cooper in the late 1st or 36.Hellbound wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 1:52 pm Sarratt, to me, is similar to Bech. Both being bigger, slower possession type wrs. We don't need another Bech

Sarratt at 36, I’d absolutely hate that. I doubt (hopefully doubt) that happens. Bech is/was a way better prospect. Boston I really like on the other hand. That I’d like. If DTs McDonald/Miller aren’t there. Wouldn’t be mad if he goes over them but, I wouldn’t do that.Hellbound wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 1:52 pm Sarratt, to me, is similar to Bech. Good sign if we go WR in the second. That means Mendoza is more likely to play immediately. As he should.

I think we get Fernando some future weapons to work with, I just personally do not see us doing so until the later rounds. I think those in charge will see other positions as more key right now.

I do also think the lack of much tape at the next level does not give me the confidence that we are not in the draft for at least one solid depth player.
But like I said, the most probably reason for a lack of a position top 30 visit is because they do not like the guys they think will be there when we pick. I am obviously just guessing.

Not a board I frequent has him going in round 2 much less at the top of it. I saw where he ran a 4.55 forty at his pro day but I suspect that may not move the needle a whole lot regarding his draft position as he ran a 1.64 ten yard split. It's the split time that scouts pay more attention to as it shows the explosion a person has and scouts are looking at that number because the majority of routes are based on short area/yard burst and not running what is basically a half a football field in length in a 40 yard time.BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 1:42 pm ESPN’s Matt Miller believes the Raiders might use the No. 36 overall pick on “a wide receiver or a right tackle, depending on who’s available.”

I can't see them reaching for Sarratt at 36
To complicate that even more, scouts will mark down player times at pro days from times run at the combine. So seeing he ran a 1.64 split at his pro day they will automatically assume a few tenths of a second less. Here are some(what) comparable numbers from other WR's his size and weight, there split and 40 times and the 3 cone which is relevant to the position a WR plays. As you already know these are just numbers on a piece of paper and does not measure a players heart, football IQ, route running, instinct and hands.
Height/Weight/split/40/3 cone
Sarratt, 6.24, 207, 1.64, 4.55, 7.01, PD
JSN, 6.05, 196, 1.65, 4.52, 6.57, PD
Nacua, 6.15, 210, 1.62, 4.57, 7.32, PD
Chase, 6.03, 201, 1.59, 4.34, 6.96, PD
Lamb, 6.15, 198, 1.55, 4.50, no 3 cone, combine
Jefferson, 6.12, 202, 1.57, 4.43, no 3 cone, combine
Bech, 6.14, 214, no 40 or split, 6.84, combine
Thornton, 6.45, 205, 1.51, 4.3 no 3 cone, combine
I went with guys that were close in height. A split time below 1.54 is crazy fast and a cone time from 6.6 to 6.8 is considered incredible, 6.9 to 7.1 good and anything below 7.1 is a red flag. As you can see Sarratt is tall at just shy of six foot 2 and a half inches and pretty heavy for his height. But his split time is pedestrian at best and cement shoes at worst. Cone time is pretty good. Nacua and Bech are the closet match physical size wise.
Nacua and Bech are big boys and while Bech is hiding his run times his broad jump suggest it's in Nacua's speed range. Thornton towers above everyone else with an insane catch radius. And with that elite split and 40 times he's one of the fastest in the entire league. Here's hoping Kubiak can get the best out of those two and get them open in quick short yardage situations and let them handle the YAC. That would also take the pressure off our OL to hold up compared to longer pass routes.

I like Boston. Hes 6'4 and 212lbs with great hands. He catches with his hands.
Great at the attack catch point (contested catched)
