2026 Draft - First Round - Thurs.4/23 - 5/8 pm
99% chance the Raiders start things off with doing what we all want them to do. Less than a 1% chance they trade the pick? Yep. There will be some interesting trades in the first round, including a possibility our new management trades up into the first round using the "extra" picks we have this year. But, I am expecting an evening of observing and anticipating rounds 2 & 3 tomorrow night.
Enjoy one of the best sports events of the year -- the NFL draft.

They dont have any major needs. I think it was a perfect pick honestly.Rabidraider wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 6:27 pm Wow...way too early for a team on the edge of greatness.

Simpson went fetal against Indiana. Not a 13th pick.

Yeah, for a team still in the Super Bowl hunt this is not a very smart move. As said they could have waited till 3rd or 4th round. Not taking a real 1st round talent/player is going to hurt the rams.Rabidraider wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 6:29 pm They are close to a Superbowl run. Why not get stud to help them now and move up to the bottom of the first and still grab Simpson.

That's a good point. Even though it probably would have helped to take a player at another position they do still have a pick 16 spots laterRabidraider wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 6:27 pm Wow...way too early for a team on the edge of greatness.

Just not the right pick for the Rams at all. They coulda done so much more for their SB run this year. I have them as favs currently. I was gonna bet big on them (well I'm kinda cheap so my kinda big) if they killed the draft. Not a good start

I actually said it months ago as I recall.
Not any great leap on my part IMO. Why? The Rams are the one team that are willing to take a risk and deal with the consequences the following year(s) trading away or moving up for picks.
Or in this case taking the guy they want regardless of the talking heads.

There's no such thing for a potential franchise QB

I'd be all for it too for them. But I wouldn't have done this early for Simpson. I like Simpson but not in the 1st. They shoulda took Nuss, C. Payton or. Allar later.Willmark wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 6:32 pm I actually said it months as I recall.
