Yup...evidently there are people who don't understand "the system" as much as they think they do.raiderjohn wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 8:06 am 100%. That's part of their process, projecting what they will do with us.

I also posted this in the "early grades" thread:
CBS ran a "home runs and in round 2 and 3 and they cite our pick as one of the few highlighted:
Las Vegas Raiders OL Trey Zuhn III, Texas A&M (Round 3, pick 91)
Zuhn played left tackle last year for the Aggies, but could easily move inside at the next level since he has experience at center. Last year, Zuhn registered the nation's highest pass-blocking grade (96.9), according to PFF, and allowed one sack on 382 pass-blocking snaps.
"Zuhn is going to be a perfect fit for Klint Kubiak's running scheme. He's one of the better blockers on the move in this offensive line class and has some of the best hands in pass protection. He has the body type to start anywhere the Raiders need him on the offensive line."
Grade: A+
They also like Pregnon to the Jags

Most pro ready olineman that Texas A&M staff has ever coached, in their words. If he can kick ass at LT and Center he can play anywhere on the line

Maybe a replacement for the subpar Glaze? Or if after a closer look, they make JPJ a full time backup and Zuhn is a guard.Goodtimes333 wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 10:54 am Most pro ready olineman that Texas A&M staff has ever coached, in their words. Yeah, I'm not gonna write off a guy at tackle because his arms are an inch or two too short than ideal. I think anybody outside of Miller/Linderbaum will have this guy breathing down their neck for a starting spot. I read as a freshman he had an injury and while out he was teaching everyone else the system. Like a defecto coach even as a young player himselfRunOverByHubbard wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 10:55 am Maybe a replacement for the subpar Glaze? yes, that was how it was announced. I suspect that is where he starts at the beginning. But he can play along the line which has serious value.

yes, they did announce him as a guard but i think due to his blocking effectiveness and experience playing left tackle he could easily transition to rt rather then guard
ps his limited play at center was a struggle

Are you saying he struggled at center? If so, that's false. He actually played very well at center. 126 snaps worth is a small sample size but he played well at centermstrbass2000 wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 12:10 pm yes, they did announce him as a guard but i think due to his blocking effectiveness and experience playing left tackle he could easily transition to rt rather then guard

Probably not as good as Miller, but who knows once we get him on board. But the general consensus from what I am reading is that the Raiders intend to move him inside, at least to start.
