What do I conclude from this listing? That we haven’t had a good right tackle in a long, long time.

He wasn't here long, but I feel Derrick Burgess had a decent run in Oakland in like 05-07? Didn't he lead the league in sacks one year?

I feel like burgess was very much a Yannick ngakoue type. Pure speed off the edge but didn’t really offer much against the run. I imagine that’s probably where Houston beat him out in overall gradeDeathStar24 wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 3:59 am He wasn't here long, but I feel Derrick Burgess had a decent run in Oakland in like 05-07? Pro Bowl is a popularity contest so not a good barometer. But I do think Penn was better.SuperRaider wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 9:48 am Donald Penn should have been LT on the list…he went to two probowls while with the Raiders….Kolton never been to a probowl game

I dont know, we should see if Cleveland wants to add Mendoza to their qb room for their pro bowl QB from last season.Attyla wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2026 9:51 am Pro Bowl is a popularity contest so not a good barometer. But I do think Penn was better.

Hence my statement above about right tackle. They have drafted to fill that roster spot — Menelik Watson - Alex Leatherwood - Glaze. I think the last time we had really good bookend tackles was Art Shell and Henry Lawrence. Barry Sims and Lincoln Kennedy was good I guess. And there you go - playoff team.
