Maybe it's just me but we should have kept that overseas big guy to play NT. I don't care how raw he was.

A few years ago the Raiders gave Andrew Billings a shot off the scrap heap. He was bouncing from team to team on minimum deals. He had a great season with the Raiders and then got some good money from the Bears and played well there for a while. Hopefully this is a similar situation

Renz is the king (or whatever) of 4 minutes of content in a 35 minute video. Plus betting tips he's selling.

Vea is an incredible player and would fill a massive hole in our D
That said he’s a 31 year old 350 lb man and we are not going to be competitive this year. Hopefully next. The timeline just doesn’t add up. We are not in a position to use important draft capital on expensive vets.
Let the young guys take their lumps and build a solid core of young internal talent.
We have to be realistic- this team is likely drafting in the top 10 next year and for the first time I’m absolutely OK with it. We should be sellers rather than buyers.

Have to disagree, Vea should have 3-4 good years left. I hope our playoff window opens in 2-3 years if not sooner and without a top nose tackle we will continue to spin our wheels.silverandblack35+ wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2026 6:04 am Vea is an incredible player and would fill a massive hole in our D

The whole defense would improve exponential with Vea.

^^^Totally agree with the above poster^^^
Vea would be a GREAT addition to the Raiders. It may cost us a high round pick, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

You keep posting this and it doesn't add up. He has maybe 3 years left and we won't be competitive for 3 years. So you are saying we should be competitive about the time he is finished so we should spend 100 million and a 2nd round pick on him?Rabidraider wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2026 7:16 am Have to disagree, Vea should have 3-4 good years left. I said 3-4 years and we could be competitive with him in 2 years. Look at New England. From shit show to AFC title game in one year.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Wed Aug 19, 2026 10:42 am You keep posting this and it doesn't add up. Players like Vea helps you pull off turnarounds like that.
And we say he's done in 3-4 years but no one truly knows. He could be good till 36-37.
Name a 3rd rounder that we drafted in the past 10 years you would think was more valuable than Vea.
So far it looks like teams will run up the gut on the Raiders and just eat them alive.
I'm also realistic that this trade is probably a pipe dream.
