Raiders Go To Texas Tonight, The Game Day Thread
So here is another look at the new team, and hopefully the view is better, especially on the D.
What are you watching, what are you wanting, and most importantly we need to get out of there without harm to anyone.
Time to see more, and hopefully a few of the youngsters start to shine.

Bowers isn’t going anywhere for three more years minimum. They’ll pick up his 5th year option and then extend him or tag him. The idea is by that time the team will be built up to contend for a playoff spot and he’ll want to stay.mranquales wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 6:42 pm Not going to lie, not as excited for this year as I thought I would be. Mendoza will sit the entire year, Kirk Cousins is garbage, Jeanty will get 1500+ all-purpose in a wasted year, and Bowers is one year closer to going to another team. Also not going to be fun watching every RB1 on the other team average 5 ypc against us.

Why is Mend Dont'sa looking so goddamn happy?
He sucked and go schooled by Houston's 3rd string.

Fly in mid season form… lmao!FlyBono24 wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 6:33 pm What a waste of time, garbage half on both sides. No improvement anywhere from last week.
f[raiders_icon]ck this shit, going to the gym. #15 is done for the night, the defense is f[raiders_icon]cking garbage, and I don't care to see O'Connell tossing INTs and getting sacked 12 times

Yeah he’s developed a bit into a serviceable 3rd down back. It’s going to be close between Laube and Ogunbuwale for the 3rd RB spot..maybe they’ll keep 4.

I love Brock, but let's tell the truth. We're talking about a guy who was stonefaced to find out he was drafted by the Raiders @ 12. If he doesn't believe in the program, and if the program doesn't get right in time, I absolutely believe Brock Bowers will go elsewhere.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:39 pm Bowers isn’t going anywhere for three more years minimum. Remember Amari Cooper? Everyone swore not to read into anything when he looked depressed getting his name called and holding up that Raiders jersey. Then as soon as he got traded to the Cowboys, he immediately threw the ENTIRE RAIDERS ORGANIZATION AND FACILITIES under the bus the second a microphone was put in his face.

Mendoza played in the 2nd half? I missed that drive? It’s practice and this is where we want him to make those mistakes. I dont want him moping around losing confidence. Get in the lab watch the tape and fix it.Opoponax50 wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:42 pm Why is Mend Dont'sa looking so goddamn happy?

Fernando made some rookie mistakes and came back strong but benson dropped a first down potential scoring play and followed it up with another non catch due to not locking up the catchOpoponax50 wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:42 pm Why is Mend Dont'sa looking so goddamn happy?

I think Brock likes being a Raider. Cooper was extremely inconsistent. He would go off for 160 yards and then disappear for three weeks. I wasn't sad to see him go to Dallas and I don't think many of teammates were either.mranquales wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:46 pm I love Brock, but let's tell the truth. Winning solves a lot of problems.

Facilities will not ever be mentioned as a reason for leaving again. This team and its leadership are nowhere near as abysmal as when Amari played. They’ll find a way to keep him by either winning or throwing a bag his way, even if it means the franchise tag.mranquales wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:46 pm I love Brock, but let's tell the truth. Not worried about Bowers leaving, the focus is on the team improving under this regime and young QB over the next 2-3 seasons. Bowers and Cooper have that similar demeanor, thats how they are, not reading too much into it..it wouldn’t matter if he did summersaults when the Raiders drafted him, he would still check his options if the team is floundering in three years. If that happens then trade him for draft capital and get a haul. That said, that’s not the plan and if you’re sitting here trying to tell me we’ll suck in three years after a couple practice games then I don't know what to tell you.mranquales wrote: Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:46 pm I love Brock, but let's tell the truth.
