There were reports they cancelled a practice last week because the offense was so bad.ELCAraiderfan wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 11:37 am Damn the Dolphins must really suck they claimed 7 players!
Really they just stopped it and had a nice talking to.
The reality is whoever we get, come on are they really going to breakthrough a matter for us winning?
Why would this claimed WR quench your thirst for a top WR? (General Audience Question)

The Dolphins have more dead cap than they have player payroll this year, I believe. Something like that. Also had a ton of draft picks. No excuse to lose week 1 imo

My answer to that is that there aren't WR studs hiding in the hay pile.SkullCrusher wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 11:39 am There were reports they cancelled a practice last week because the offense was so bad.

Finding a high quality WR, let alone more than one quality WR is going to take a couple of years. If we were able to get the two top tier WRs in the draft next year (which won't), it's likely one would bust and the other would take at least one year to develop.
It's going to be on the coaching staff to get the most out of the players we do have, not the ones we wish we had.

Imo no reason to just dump on what we have so soon, lets see if we can have a break out WR or two this year.
A drafted WR can take a couple of years.
So FA WR is the only immediate answer but you have be wary of washed up diva WR's. Locker rooms don't need that.

The loss of a half-step to cause a WR (or CB) to go from King Shit to just plain shit in a hurry.SkullCrusher wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 12:14 pm Yep.

We simply won't know for certain what we already have, and/or what we need in multiple areas until we actually play a few regular season games.

Kubiak was singin' Tre's praises this year after his arrival. Maybe he sees things us on the outside dont. I'll trust his judgement on this rather than who or what we think should be the receivers and their capabilities.

Brock changes the dynamic of the receiving corps when he is out there. That and Jeanty will be how the offense flows, with help of course but we have not had that yet in the preseason so there is that to consider. As for NT, would I have liked to have had that option explored? Absolutely but other people's trash is just that, mostly trash. Getting corner help will enhance the defense so maybe we got a decent one there.raiderboyron wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 12:31 pm Kubiak was singin' Tre's praises this year after his arrival. As does MM in my opinion. I give him credit as being a player superior to some folks analysis on here.Attyla wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 12:36 pm Brock changes the dynamic of the receiving corps when he is out there. The Broncos have a pretty light front 3 and can stop the run for the most part. It can be done. Even their edge guys are light. Scheme, technique and desire can make it all happen. The front needs to be much better at getting off blocks

Looking at that list of claims, you see claimed DTs in Wooden, Eason and Stackhouse. 2 were UDFAs, Wooden has been around since 2023, got into a career high 16 games in 2025, traded to Indy. Would these 3 have made us better, then who would you drop from the position group?
