And I explained who Darren is when you asked
It has been a number of years since the gaming thing came out. I do remember his gaming room vaguely though. I have an image in my mind of a couple of his kids being in there with him. I do remember vividly what happened when someone called him to inform him that there was a site discussing his excessive time at the console. He immediately shut down the video, deleted his videos of him playing the game and made his game logs private. I have little doubt it was probably Darren. I think at that time David was on the NFL channel? I would have to look. It was a small blip on the radar though. Lot's of guys in sports play video games. That it got out there at all was one guy poking around who had some computer skills (well before he died and after he died stole a bunch of FF money) was pretty funny.

I am also absolutely sure that Darren was viewing various sites to get the pulse of his brother's rep so he could report back. It was pretty comical that we would discuss something and all the sudden Carr would make mention of that very thing and then defend himself.

Carr's problem was his unwillingness to work on the of his game. lt was the equivalent of an OT leaning everything except how to set his feet.
So instead of putting that time into video games, he could've been putting time into improving his game

Regardless, the argument was that someone didn't believe that he was playing games that long. People have come out & said there were actual reports of his online time posted on here. Now said poster is still calling bs on it. It's a silly argument to begin with

Yeah, my wife would put up with alot of shit for 100 million. Hell I'd gladly throw any shred of dignity right out the window for 100 million

Yup, still calling it. Yes, it is a bit silly but people are still talking about it. And I'll stop when it stops.

Sorry dude but using AI to prove anything is comparable to using wiki to get accurate info

Your prerogative. Like I said, I do remember the info being posted. Others without skin in this remember it too. It was a thing. As far as specifics on dates or days playing I don't remember. I do remember him logging long hrs and a 9 hr play time and him talking about it for some reason. Thankfully he's gone. He should the inaugural member in the Hall of Average. I still don't understand why some think he was very good

I didn't ask AI, I used a simply web search and that's what popped up...you can try it yourself if you like, with or without AI, but it won't change anything.

And I didn't say it wasn't a "thing"...only that it cannot be definitively validated. There is only one person who made the initial eroneous claim. And no other person has said that there were "9 or more hours a day...".

When the whole thing flared up there was a lot more discussion (as I recall) on the splinter/break away site than here. It was a thing and how much people put into it varied person to person.

No disagreement there.

I think the bigger problem was optics. Aside from 2016 it was a mixed bag at best and his play certainly showed he needed to improve in multiple areas.

Instead it was as if he was "nahh, I'm good."

Can't remember exactly when he got his big extension, but wasn't after his injury?...not sure.

But for whatever reason, he was simply never the same player. Afterward, it seemed like he flinched easily in the pocket and rarely scrambled anymore.

Maybe he was scared or after the big extension he kinda developed a "f[raiders_icon]ck it, I'm rich" attitude, or both.

Whatever the reason, the Raiders suffered because of it.

June 2017; signed for 125 million and was the highest paid player for a brief period until Stafford got paid more in August.

IMO the number 1 reason was letting Musgrave go. He understood exactly what Carr could or could not do and kept him on a short leash.

lol, again, I already said that it was unintended...geez, Regardless, did you even try to do a simple web search on your own as I suggested? Has anyone other than me even tried it and posted their findings? No, and No.

You're not disputing anything that was said in that link, only how it was provided and presented. Are you claiming that what was provided by the search was incorrect?

I dont know, i never got the feeling Carr was lazy. He seemed like a hard worker though not necessarily on the thing he needed to. I dont think you can be that good of an NFL qb between the 20's without studying a lot.

His issue was mental toughness and fragile ego. Fraigile ego made him ignore certain deficiencies and he was just so weak and soft. The ball got inside the 20 and he turned into pee wee Carr
