I thought he should of red flagged it. It was late in the game and it looked like a pass attempt to me right away. Why not right? Can't save them for next week.WNYRAIDER wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 9:18 am ....based on all I have seen so far, I also would count on him addressing any possible 'glitch in the system' regarding not having had the help to push him to challenge that possible, apparent, incomplete pass, as that is the kind of miss that could really cost us big in the future....

I thought it was so close that the chances of it being overturned were pretty small (still wanted him to challenge it). I really thought the ball was already out of his control by the time his arm started moving forward.

I don’t take media picks that seriously but I noticed the Las Vegas Review Journal had 5 writers make picks on the game yesterday and all 5 had the Chargers winning.
2 of them picked the Chargers to win by more than 1 score (the scores they predicted were 31–10 and 28-14).

I agree. But I also agree that it was worth a challenge that late in the game when you're burning a TO anyway.Jeevo wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 10:05 am I thought it was so close that the chances of it being overturned were pretty small (still wanted him to challenge it). It will be interesting to see how a Klint Kubiak coached team finishes. Gruden's teams were notorious for fading down the stretch.raiders72 wrote: Tue Sep 22, 2026 10:19 pm What was the famous WHO tune, “don’t get fooled again”

Klint Kubiak’s name stands with Al Davis and John Madden for one specific record
“With a 26-14 win over the Chargers, the Raiders are now 2-0 to start the 2026 season, their first 2-0 start since 2021. According to the Raiders PR team, Kubiak is now just the fourth head coach in Raiders history (excluding interims) to win both of their first 2 games with the team, joining Al Davis (1963), John Madden (1969), and Bill Callahan (2002).”
Mercy let’s hope he’s more like those fellas in the 60’s.

Yup, credit to Klint for coming with a great strategy to combat their strengths and attack their weaknesses, and credit to Cousins for executing it on the field. As the original post said, glad we finally have a coaching staff worth a damn. It finally feels like we have a real plan in place, and we’re taking meaning steps to achieve that planGoodtimes333 wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 9:06 am Jamaree Caldwell for the Chargers is a stud 6'1 340 squatty as f[raiders_icon]ck nose tackle with a ton of athleticism. Tier Tart is another stud nose tackle. Dalvin Tomlinson is a proven vet who can play. All three of those guys are basically on the field 75% of the time. We all know Mack is a force against the run. Tupalotu is a 270lb hammer on the other edge, also good against the run. Derwin James is roving around, often times in the box. Henley is a very good inside backer all around. That Charger front 7-8 is very solid. They are not bums by any means.
Not enough credit is given to Kirk for showing out yesterday. He hit his throws. He played very well. I don't wanna hear about his deep ball being like Hellen Keller searching for a needle in a haystack again. Kirk has spoken! Lol

Our OL looked f[raiders_icon]cking HORRIBLE. There is no team in the league that can continuously win (and their QB survive) giving up so many QB hits. Here is hoping that it was just a bad day.

I know its 2 games but this coaching staff feels surreal...in all 3 phases we are tops of the league in most categories.

Feels almost unreal after all of the shitty staffs and front office we've had to put up with for decades.tadow wrote: Wed Sep 23, 2026 11:58 pm I know its 2 games but this coaching staff feels surreal...in all 3 phases we are tops of the league in most categories.
But it is real and feels great and about f[raiders_icon]cking time. For all of us in the Raiders Nation and happy for Crosby and Miller too, the two very good Raiders players that have been with this team for some time and had to put up with all the shit.
