No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Titans are going to get Jerimah Smith. No excuses next year for Cam Ward.

Tetaroia McMillan got away with a blatant push off on his first TD, and a ref looking right at him. NFL loves high scoring games.Jeevo wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:06 pm They should allow some sort of review on dpi. Not sure if it would be a challenge thing, or just in the last 2 minutes, or what, but calls that absolutely decide games are too important.

Ollie Gordon (the RB I wanted most in the NFL draft contrary to popular opinion), just had a solid game against the undefeated Vikings. He was drafted in the 6th round, for the posters who believe I use that as a metric to support or defend any player.
I believe you draft BPA no matter the position if you're a bottom dweller team (we were). Bowers, Jeanty, and Mendoza are great examples of that, and the Raiders are a better team for it. That's part of the reason I support Jeanty, because he represents a philosophy done right. I also understand that there is some validity in believing you can find a diamond in the rough in the later rounds-- especially at a position like RB.
If it were up to me, we would have Mason Graham (DL) and Ollie Gordon (RB), but Jeanty is the most talented RB in two classes, and one of the most talented players in his class, so I'm satisfied with the pick, and the philosophy surrounding him being picked.

Mason Graham was picked before Jeanty so he wasnt an option.

Gordon hasn’t been good at all to date. He has a solid game, uhm ok. Still doesn’t change anything yet. He wasn’t a very good prospect coming out, for good reason.mranquales wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:25 pm Ollie Gordon (the RB I wanted most in the NFL draft contrary to popular opinion), just had a solid game against the undefeated Vikings. & Jeanty wasn’t the right pick. I believe Jeanty is a really good RB even tho he hasn’t played that well this season, so far. Even if he turns it around & is a top 5 RB this season (which I believe he is), he’s still wasn’t/isn’t worth that pick. RB’s are not worth that high pick over other positions, period.
Still love Jeanty as a player/person so, here goes to him turning up the rest of the rest of the season.

I couldn’t watch the last game but listened on the radio. Lincoln Kennedy and Horowitz said all game that Jeanty was limping after almost every run and said he most certainly lacks the explosion he showed in game 1. At what point do you rest him and let him heal up?

He should've been kept out when it became apparent he wasn't up to the job. We have a capable #2 and Laube, while questionable when it comes to fumbling, can do well enough if called upon for a heavier workload.Xramfan wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 10:53 am I couldn’t watch the last game but listened on the radio. A running back playing on a bum ankle isn't going to get better by continuing to play on said bum ankle. Pull him out, get him healthy, and hopefully he'll be back and ready to go in the latter half of the season. We're not winning 13+ games, but we can get up to ten going down the stretch and he would be an important part of that.

Ollie Gordon hasn't had a chance to really show what he can do until this game. He had to work his way up the depth chart. He was RB3 for the most part up until this last game where he was RB1. The Vikings are a good team, unlike the Saints who were bottom 5 in run defense yet that didn't stop everyone from hyping up our RB2.MexicanHulk wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 9:48 am Gordon hasn’t been good at all to date. What objective metric are you basing this statement on? Jeanty is currently 10th in yardage playing on one leg. His average needs to go up, sure, but he had around 4 ypc against a SB contender so I have no doubt he will raise that as well.& Jeanty wasn’t the right pick. I believe Jeanty is a really good RB even tho he hasn’t played that well this season, so far.
An RB that everyone claims is better than Jeanty from his class (Judkins), has lower total yardage and YPC.
This comes across as bias, and that's where we completely seperate.Even if he turns it around & is a top 5 RB this season (which I believe he is), he’s still wasn’t/isn’t worth that pick. RB’s are not worth that high pick over other positions, period.
If Ashton Jeanty is a top 5 RB in the entire NFL in only his second year, he is absolutely worth the pick. I've never heard of a player being top 5 at their position and not being worth the pick, no matter where they were drafted. I don't even understand the logic behind that statement.
Mendoza was drafted 1st overall, and Raider fans hope he's top 5 in the NFL.
Jeanty is playing bad this year, you guys claimed he played bad last year, it sounds like bias to me.Still love Jeanty as a player/person so, here goes to him turning up the rest of the rest of the season.
You guys also claimed that Mike Washington, the guy who averaged 2 YPC last game, was better than Jeanty, because he had one good run against one of the worst teams in the NFL right now, with a bottom 5 run defense.
Again, it sounds like you guys are just bias, I've yet to hear any objective argument for why Jeanty isn't a good player or was drafted too high.

Exactly. Gordon averaged 2.8 upcoming last season. He had a good run Sunday and got 53 of his 148 yards on the season.MexicanHulk wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 9:48 am Gordon hasn’t been good at all to date. He has a solid game, uhm ok. That's the thing, it's obvious that Kubiak doesn't see it that way. Mike Washington had more carries going into the first half against KC. As the game went on, Kubiak kept feeding the hot hand at the position (Jeanty). The same thing happened in the Dolphins game.Opoponax50 wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 11:14 am We have a capable #2 and Laube, while questionable when it comes to fumbling, can do well enough if called upon for a heavier workload.
There is a clear separation between Jeanty and Mike Washington, only the bias posters on this forum see differently.
No coaching staff with any IQ is going to go "Even though you play like shit against good teams, Raiderstation thinks you're the best RB on the team, so you're going to be RB1 in this important conference game against the Pats. Jeanty will be benched until after the bye-week, then when he does come back, he's going to have to split carries with you 50/50. Good job Mike! You've earned it!"
That's not how that works.

Washington got 37 yards against one of the worst teams in the NFL but that didn't stop you guys from saying he was better than Jeanty.
Ollie Gordon earned his 53 yards, go back and watch it. He threw hitman off of him and kept going.

What is this, you guys talk? When have I compared anyone to Judkins or Mike Washington. That has nothing to with this anyway, one way or another.mranquales wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2026 1:37 pm Ollie Gordon hasn't had a chance to really show what he can do until this game. & a player can be top 5 at a position & not be worth it. That being a RB. I said it. Also, Punter & Kicker. RBs aren’t worth top half of the first round unless they’re video game good.
1) RBs are possibly the easiest position to find/get good production at.
2) RB is the position most dependent on other positions for their success.
3) The RB position has the lowest shelf life in terms of injury.
Those reasons alone make it so the RB position shouldn’t be drafted top half of the first round. I wouldn’t even draft them in the first at all. Except in extreme rare cases.

To set the record straight after 4 games
Jeanty average is 3.4 per carry
Washington average is 5.0 yards per carry.
Taking extremely small sample sizes to prove a point is laughable.

I am usually not a fan of Ohio State players. Smith is going to be a BEAST. Dare I say, he has the potential to be the best WR in football in his first year (he is that good).
