NFL Trade Deadline
Ok maybe this doesn’t need its own thread but the deadline is 5 weeks away. I know the next couple weeks will determine if we are buyers but let’s say we get to 5-2 do we make a move?
I really wish we still had Jakobi here but it sounds like a few guys might be available…
Brian Thomas Jr
Marvin Harrison Jr
Jerry Jeudy
Thoughts?

yep adding an pro bowl calibre guard in q and then drafting another one in the 3rd rd would have been perfectRabidraider wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:42 am The trenches win titles and spending to fix it does not bother me.
We will probably draft online with a 3rd rounder anyway.

Seahawks acquired Quenten Nelson from the Colts in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick.
With the Colts’ season all but over, the team could trade away a series of key player as they look toward a total tear down/rebuild scenario following the 2026 season. That includes Nelson, an eight-time Pro Bowler who now has a chance to compete for a title now that he’s out of Indianapolis. Nelson will join a Seattle offensive line that ranks 21st in pass blocking win rate and 27th in run blocking win rate. His addition should be a boon for Sam Darnold and the Seahawks’ pass catchers. - Denny Carter

go trade for buckner (dt/nt) whom is still playing at a high level and will cost much less in a trade, shore up the interior of our dline for cheap

Gee, where do I begin? Brady owns a lot of businesses, mostly in the sports category, and he is printing money. Darnold? Gee, do you know if we made an offer? We were a horrible team in 2024 and he went to a playoff team. Wonder what the motivation was there. He could have refused any move to the Raiders. And well, golly gee, Brady and Spytek pivoted immediately after last year and generated quite a turn around. But back to 2025, we all know that the draft they put together had Carroll's thumbprint all over it. And gee, using the Jordan argument, how about the Magic argument? I believe Magic was part of the Dodgers ownership. And golly, Kraft did not offer Brady part ownership of the Patriots because, and this is well documented, Kraft wants to keep the ownership of the team within the family. It would be like asking why the Rooney's did not offer up some of the ownership to Bradshaw. And golly, round boy, you just completed my day. You argued against Dufus being a moron and then you argued for him being a moron. And thank you for that very last bit. It shows your agenda perfectly. Brady has seven rings, and I never argued that rings equal success. I have always argued that success breeds success. And that is what I maintain. As a business man, he has been successful. Just because a part time owner does not immediately turn around a football franchise, does not mean he is not moving it that direction. Dufus himself said Brady would be more involved going into this season and the early results, while not ideal, are certainly trending in the right direction.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 11:33 am Nope they’re definitely not morons. That 2025 draft is an all timer isn’t it? How did Darnold do again? Isn’t it amazing how you’ve bestowed success onto Tom Brady even through though he’s shown NOTHING.
Can’t wait until you find about Michael Jordan’s GM experience.
Always love the argument that Mark is a moron yet a genius for putting Brady in charge.
You wannna explain to me why Kraft didn’t make him his partner?
Thanks for depressing me even more. We are stuck with another Mark when he’s not here….”he got 11000 rings! He winner! Derrrrr”
Gee wiz, skippy, does that answer all your questions?

Nelson does us little good this year. He is not going to resign with Seattle. He is going to the highest bidder. that may be Seattle, but we will have a shot at him. I think the trade from the Colts is good for us if we want him because he would be more likely to sign with the team he has already know. Now I think he is more likely to open it up.

Ugh, even if Nelson underperforms for us he would still be a massive upgrade at the position. I would love to see what this offense could do with him in there. What if we could actually run the ball?

Cousins gets the ball out quickly. I’m impressed he hasn’t thrown more int’s with all the 3rd and long situations he faces, with a garbage D that puts pressure on the offense to score more to keep up, and with how quickly he gets the ball out.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 6:05 pm Cousins has time why would a more mobile Fernando be worse? He needs to get in the game
Fernando might wait more, and with his scrambling attempts I expect him to take more sacks. He will make more mistakes and throw more int’s as a rookie. On the other hand, with his talent I expect him to make more big plays and with this garbage line I think we do need a qb with some scrambling ability.

Mendoza will take some lumps as every QB does. And make some rookie bonehead plays as well. The team is going nowhere why not get his career rolling?Steve007 wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 2:00 pm Cousins gets the ball out quickly. That you’re just a Brady cheerleader that doesn’t know jack crap? I guess it does.Attyla wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 11:56 am Gee, where do I begin? “We all know that Carroll had his thumbprint all over it” really? Ok then why keep Spytek? After all logic would dictate that Klint was all over this draft. So why not just have a fire sale the 2025 draft? BTW, I don’t know that Carroll made every pick. Sounds like you need an excuse to justify that crap draft wasn’t Spytek.
Brady got some insane deal to broadcast games & he’s not even good at it. BTW, even if he’s the greatest announcer of all time none of that crap means he can actually scout players for a NFL team or make those decisions. And i know we didn’t make an offer & when i showed you a reference you said it’s a lie lol.
Mark is the son of a HOF owner & there’s no success breeding success there.
I can’t believe you’re bringing up Magic Johnson. I grew up a Lakers/Dodgers fan & you’re a truly an imbecile if you think a PR hire like Magic Johnson is making any baseball decisions there
You know what Mark Walter did when he bought Dodgers? He hired Stan Kasen as president to run the team, since he had all that experience/success in baseball personnel. He then hired arguably the best GM in all of sports in Andrew Friedman. Even when Walter bought the Lakers he sent Friedman there as a consultant & in year 1 they are looking way better.
Btw genius your boy Brady hired Chip Kelly over Kubiak last year. What are all these moves that he is making? Burdford? Q Walker? Brady can’t identify talent and never will. I guarantee if I asked Brady why he fired Telesco for Spytek he couldn’t give me a straight answer

I hate complaining about non-trades, but for that price you'd think if we made an offer he'd be a Raider. Desperately could have used Nelson.

The Commanders and Colts are examples of teams that were on the rise to be undone with injuries. Its crazy how quickly they got good, and then the wheels fell off.

Jesus skeeter, I will boil down your bullshit to one thing. Coaches hire their coordinators not owners That alone shows you are so full of shit there is no wonder your gut sticks out so farSloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 3:41 pm That you’re just a Brady cheerleader that doesn’t know jack crap? For sure. There is no way he is coming to a rebuilding team at this point in his career.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:19 am I hope people realize that Nelson is going to Seattle and not to a team like the Raiders for a good reason -- they did not outbid us or offer more than us -- Nelson wants to finish the year with a likely Super Bowl contender. I think Seattle is the leader in the NFC to make it to the Super Bowl. The 49ers are super well-coached but have a huge number of injuries.

Imo The Commanders just got on a roll at the right time one season and rode the confidence/momentum into the playoffs...Was a mirage, they were punching way over their weight and I don't think their coaching staff is great either.Willmark wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 3:59 pm The Commanders and Colts are examples of teams that were on the rise to be undone with injuries. The Colts went all in with Daniel Jones as their quarterback. That was never going to work out.
